What about Yellowjackets meltdown? Can gulk counter that too?
I wouldn’t advertise him as being immortal. He resists only 70% of the damage but in the video against Corvus, he was losing health (77% to around 40%). Youre still losing health and you shouldn’t rely on the ability to survive.
Who else counter passive degen from node or champs

Won't give you a thumbs down. He does hit hard when face me is active. Which is in most of the fights showcased here. I am a huge GULK fan as I had starburst lanes on AQ map 6. When Ebony Maw was the mini I used to ask to leave up the degen node so I could take that fight and blast through it

Thanks for the comment. I was aware, it’s the same with Torch’s nova flame and Stryfe’s passive shock, but since it’s not something you really have to counter when fighting I choose to not include it.
He can counter it, but it´s impractical doing it as an attacker, because you have to get hitted by Fury many times.

Ikarus as well..he is beast mode in that too .
He actually doesn’t counter the damage from Icarus with his “face me” since it’s not passive damage
The icarus node places degen debuffs, not passives, therefore face me wouldn’t activate. However, a similar node, called Rising Sun, places passive degeneration instead of debuffs, which I believe he counters since it’s passive damage.

I would probably rank Gulk, but seen people do some pretty cool stuff with spidergwen so it depends if you need a champ that can slow. If you do then maybe Gulk.

No it’s because while face me is active he regen 70% of any damage taken instantly. So that part isn’t bugged

They are pretty different but both great champs
In my opinion she hulk is better. Her slow on her heavy attack is extremely useful to counter evade and unstoppable, for champs like Spider-Man, nightcrawler, rhino and juggernaut, completely shuts their annoyances down. She also has petrify which is so useful against power gain and regen champs like Hyperion. Additionally with this petrify she can easily counter stuff like aggression regeneration. Her passive furies are also passively increase the opponent’s chance to throw a special by 15%, so she can bypass all or nothing nodes. On top of all of this, her fury ramp up means she has some extremely nice damage, as well as exhaustion on her sp1, poison immunity and increasing stun duration based on the size of the opponent which is all very useful. Via her awakened ability, she gains the very nice utility of shrugging debuffs when striking a science opponent. She has other stuff in her awakened ability such as increased attack, reducing opponent special attack ability accuracy, reducing opponent armour potency and duration.
All of these reasons make she hulk better than ghulk.
If only he didn't hit like a pillow and his utility was easier to access, he'd be used a lot more.
Not true when face me is active he gains a huge attack bonus. Anyone who has played map 6 or starburst lanes or nodes can attest to this. The fights go so much faster.
@@adarak He has literally one use, and it's an uncommon one too. By the time you've accessed critical pieces of utility like Power Lock and Heal Block the opponent's Power and Heal Buffs would've ticked for their full potential, making all that effort useless.
@@primerprime596 I feel as though you didn't watch the same video I did. He clearly has more than one use and is another option for certain fights. Also trying to play him to access those two pieces of utility solely, I personally wouldn't recommend as they are hard to maintain during a longer fights.
@@adarak The issue is that there are other Champs that do what he does far better. Right off the top of my head, I'm taking Yellowjacket and Guardian. Both their Energy Resistance is amazingly high, and it applies to a lot more than just passive damage as well. Guardian can deal huge amounts of damage, and Yellowjacket has tons of utility that he can access at will. It's not even like his damage makes up for the difficulty in accessing his utility. He's just got too little bang for his buck imo.
