How does the pro compare to WM?

The Pro uses higher fill power down 950+ vs 850+ in the Womens version, because of this, the Women's bag has more fill weight to achieve the same comfort rating so comes in a little heavier overall than the Pro. The Pro also has the Freeflow Zip system so can be a little more versatile compared to the Spark Women's.
The main advantage of the Spark Women's is that it comes in a shorter length, so if you don't need a bag that will fit someone upto 185cm, there is an option for this. They do also have the Long version that will fit up to 185cm too to cover those bases.

I really like this bag .
Did you find it a tight fit it looks pretty restrictive. Across the shoulders .
Cant tell if i need the extra zips of the pro or the weight saving of the standard spark .
Id probably get the 1 degree for summer /spring use

      We really like it too.
Ben did find it snug, but not overly restrictive across the shoulders. He has said he would be happy to sleep in it without any concerns of it being too tight.
Unless you're after the absolute smallest and lightest, the Pro is much more adaptable and still comes in at an impressively small and light pack size, that's what our money would be on.

That's exactly what I was thinking but at another £100 on top for basically extra zips and flexibility makes an expensive bag even more so .

@@rufusduck71 the spark family are definitely a premium line of sleeping bags, but their build quality and use of premium materials makes them very nice bags.
Whether or not the extra zips and flexibility are worth it for you is a decision only you can make, but if it helps, Ben prefers the Pro for that extra flexibility (and for jumping around in the woods, but that's another story...).

This look great but I just checked, and the price is just f**** crazy 😆Sierra Designs Mobile Mummy 15 Is much cheaper, has better designed arm holes, centre zip that makes it easier to get in and out and it has loops at the back to clip the bottom of your sleeping bag if you want to be walking in it. Yes, it is a little bit heavier but it's almost half the price of this 😄

We would consider the design differences somewhat more subjective, but without trying both it's hard to know which one is "better". The Sierra Designs does look like a great bag, but it comes in around 300g heavier, in the world of sleeping bags we'd say that's more than "a little bit heavier"
There's no denying that the Sea To Summit Bag is premium, but the use of higher fill down, waterproof fabrics and multiple YKK zips will factor into the price and work hours involved in constructing it. We're glad you've found an alternative that suits you better, we quite like the new Spark Pro.
