Synopsis:
Naina, a homemaker in Lucknow, has her daughter Swara seemingly missing after a night out she reluctantly gave permission for. Naina panics and goes to the police station to file Swara’s details. Here, she empathises with another set of parents lamenting over their daughter who was killed in sexual assault. Naina then receives a call and rushes home to find Swara back and safe. After expressing initial concern, she shows dissent against Swara’s irresponsible behaviour. As they then prepare for Holika Dahan in the evening, the police arrive with proof to arrest her son Sanskaar, on charges of committing rape. Naina is jolted as she realises that her son whose problematic behaviours she had let pass previously, has ultimately turned out to be a rapist.

Beautiful potrail of how we have made ourselves and the society ...in these cases the very first thought which comes to our mind is that the victim shouldn't be our daughter...but we never think the culprit shouldn't be our son
Son waking up with the cup of coffee on his table, daughter was asked to help mother, what a discrimination at home, hence the boy gets egoistic within.
P̶r̶o̶t̶e̶c̶t̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶d̶a̶u̶g̶h̶t̶e̶r̶ Educate your son. This phrase, the very message of this excellent short film, elegantly and efficiently reframes the responsibility for sexual aggression and violence where it rightly belongs: on the perpetrator, rather than the victim, and sums up in two short phrases that the answer to resolving sexual violence is not to restrict the freedom of movement and expression for one party, e.g., to hide girls and women away, but to teach boys to be better men.

Excellent short film. Every young boy needs a father figure or a male role model. The dad here never said a kind word to any member of his family. He is always engaged physically and emotionally in his work. No time for his wife or kids, everybody revolves around his wish and command. This whole provider thing sometimes makes men very aloof and disrespectful to the people whom they are providing for. I remember in old days there was always a grandfather, an uncle or an adult male in the family who kept an eye on the growing kids.
Both parents must be equally responsible for the upbringing of children irrespective of gender. Here all three members of this family depended upon mother for minuscule of work. Of course, son was a pampered lot. As pointed by you, father was aloof, hardly caring for children.
Extremely well depicted...i myself mother of 22 year old daughter, i felt the stress the mother underwent ...

No discrimination is to be made between daughter and son. Pampering spoils children irrespective of gender. Equal treatment and caring are must for growing children. Daughter or son, children must be taught to indulge in household chores and be responsible inside and outside in the society. Both parents are equally responsible for disciplined upbringing of children. Geeta Sharma's performance as a mother was natural and best. On the whole, a burning issue managed fittingly.

Very nice short film,hum hamesha ladki taraf se darte hai aur ladke ke liye pure bharose mand hote hai per samaj mei is tarike ki ghatna ..ko anjaam tuhin nahi hote.. ladke ka charitra bahut mayne rakhta hai isliye saman najariya humko rakhte hue sahi shiksha ladke ko bhi deni chahiye ladka hai to har cheej ki khuli chhoot Maa ka dar aise nikla ...😢

hum apni betiyan ko toh bachalete hai dusron ki betiyon ka kya hoga jo apne beton ke janwar pan se mahi bachpati , bete ko sikhna hai behan beti dusron ki bhi usi tarah hoti hai jaise apni , hamare religion me isliye pehle ladko, admiyon ko apni nazar niche rakhni dusi aurton ko dekhne se mana ki jaan bhujhkar, aur dress code dono ke liye diya hai jaise loose clothing, not see through, tight dress nahi, head to toe cover for ladies and similar from shoulder to above ankle for men, hum ko dono ko sikhana hai khud ko burayi se bachana ladkon ko bura karne se ladkiyon ko ladko ki burayi se , jitna zyada movies, tv, media me jo open nudity badh rahi hai chances hai ye sab bhi badhe, iski rokna bachpan se hi hoga , God conciousness, ache values, good bad deeds ka batana acha action se acha end hoga bure thoughts, actions se bura end , law ko bhi strict hona chhaiye, har koyi concious rahe apne aas paas kya horaha hai , sab ko milke karna hoga groundlevel se otherwise Insaan jaanwar se zyada khatarnak hogaya horaha honewala hai unfortunately, takecare of yourself, family.❤
