It's really beautiful, I'd love if you made a series based on this 🧡

The teapot does look quite nice. Laying down base colors with acrylic first sounds like a nice way to start getting into oils. The overall drying time still intimidates me, though. Thanks for sharing!

Looks absolutely beautiful, but a few weeks definitely aren’t enough for oils to cure fully. They might feel and look dry but the oxidation process is still going on. Depending on the varnish you use and how many layers/ how thick your layers it is recommended to varnish them earliest after 3 months (Gamvar) and most other varnishes after 6 months. I look forward to more of your paintings since this is a style I also really want to try out ❤
And just a lil side note for the best possible result, you should pour the varnish into a shallow bowl and then dip your brush and work from left to right (or from both sides to the middle for a bigger painting) methodically moving from the top of the painting to the bottom. A lot of people just pour it over the painting and then brush it out, but it’s not really the best way (but does look cool on video)😅

Hi Pypah! 😊 May I ask - to make your color plan, did you take a photo of the drawing on canvas, then color the photo digitally? The final painting is beautiful. I love the bold colors.

17:06 Hey I know this is your first oil painting in a while but please do not pour varnish on your oil painting. That can cause uneven layers and look patchy over time.
Winsor & Newton has a great video on how to properly varnish your oil painting. But a quick explanation is to pour the varnish into a wide container (like a salsa jar) that way you won't need to directly pour the varnish on the canvas.
I understand its a cool shot to pour but this trend isn't good for the longevity of your oil painting.
