Geoff "Be Low" Castellucci, Cesar the Sassy Space Wench, Eli the Intergalactic Pirate who is wanted in 12 systems, Omar is like the cabin boy with the voice of an angel who is secretly a Siren from Sagittarius VI, and Layne is the engine of this spaceship rocketing them into the cold depths between solar systems in search of treasure.
You should write that fanfic, I would read it for sure ! 😂
This is why I keep saying my favorite VoicePlay song is ‘The Next One’. I was fooled by this one. Usually I can tell if Geoff or Layne was the arranger but I got it wrong this time. I also love that they all got a part to really shine and show off. Waiting (im)patiently for the day they get to do an entire new game soundtrack themselves.

I though you would enjoy Geoff's "Huh!" It's almost becoming as signature for him as "C'mon!"
I was surprised when I saw that this was Geoff's arrangement - from the amount of time Geoff spent singing lead vocals and going "down below", I originally though it was Layne's. I'm going to give up trying to figure out who does the arrangements and just sneak a peek, from now on.
I really like how much "counter motion", or "contrary motion", or whatever the phrase is describing how Geoff would be taking the bass line down into the basement, while the harmonies would be raising up into the stratosphere - especially that last one, where they went (to paraphrase Peter Barber) "stupid high!"

You're the only reactor i've seen that noticed or mentioned Cesar's oddball eyes. When i first saw the video, i thought 'of course Cesar picked odd eyes' - i love it!
Moving to a higher sustained pitch whilst keeping the larynx relaxed is an amazing practise in patting the head and rubbing the belly. It takes a lot of practise-practise-practise to get used to the feel of it and how to accomplish it so that it becomes automatic.
It's not just Cesar with the odd eyes. He split contacts with Omar, so they have the same eyes, just opposite.
This has been in my head ever since I heard it the first time on Patreon. It is so fun, catchy, creepy, and glorious. Voiceplay is the best!!

I loved the analysis of this song. The guys are just so talented and it's always fun to hear someone that knows what they're talking about let us know what they are doing with their "instruments".
I never heard this before they released it and now I can't get enough of it!
So far I noticed Lang has violet eyes, Ceasar and Omar both have one blue eye and one green eye, Geoff had hazel eyes I think, Eli is blue. Great reaction Jen. Feel better 💗

Did you happen to catch his whistle notes when Laying was playing the violin & his ending note in The Lion Sleeps Tonight ? "Sleeping In The cold Below" is from a Video Game called "Warframe." In "Warframe," you play as a Space Samurai. Most people classify this song as a "Space Shanty."
I know at the end of the day, it really does not matter. But this song is from a game called Warframe, which is why it seems futuristic and spacefaring. Without going into details, my kids described this game as 'Space Ninjas'.

If someones already explained it sorry but, Warframe is a videogame, the original is a space shanty sung in game...in my case a lot lol, very earworm song especially when one of the characters skins plays the instrumental version of this in game while playing as their alternate form
Now you need to listen to some of the other Warframe songs. Particularly Colm McGuinness's covers of this song, We All Lift, and For Narmer. And (spoilers for the game I guess) two of the songs are written to fit on top of each other, which is really cool (I have a video of just the combined audio from his covers of those songs panned to the sides so you can hear both at once, if you're curious. I just love the effect, and nobody else had combined his covers, so I decided to :))
