I adore Pointed Firs. It really isn’t a collection of short stories but instead an episodic novel with a clear beginning, middle, and end. I hope you will love it as much as I do!

I've never read any of the Tarzan books, but I've been curious about them. I may give the first one a try one of these days.
The first one is by far the best. They go more pulp fiction after the first one. I was very surprised by the writing.
The books that follow are bubblegum - fun to chew on without any sustenance!
@@novelideea Not always a bad thing, though good to know. But I have heard that Burroughs really pushed the mainstreaming of the Tarzan books and wanted them to be really popular, so I guess he got what he wanted.
I think I will do Summer Book Bingo but we'll just see what I end up reading. Not entirely sure... aside from Don Quixote.
