Awesome and yeah in Germany 🇩🇪 u guy's have everything. Lol lol here in South Africa 🇿🇦 things are money tight/poor. But there is lots of crazy stuff. But we LOVE our 4cyl 16v. Pushing them to 7sec.
Boba is the best in my opinion... but yeah there's lot's of privates probably.

I'm not really a golf guy, but this is a an awesome build and educational. "Form follows function" with good design cues, well done Page for the interview. Another "anti stance princess" build. We need more videos of car enthusiasts and mechanics who are inovative and not following the "Crowd".

Andre Johnson built a brown 2 door mk1 with a g5 gti engine about 10 years ago in Cape Town, obviously there wasnt youtube and social media around then... but this is a great build guys

Super neath excecuted Mk1 mod. Love it. You guys in South Africa are lucky to still have Mk1s, Here in Holland the last ones hit the streets in 1983 and nowadays Mk1s are very rare.
My first car back in '89 was a Mk1 Golf Sprinter, basically a GTI but with a 1300 carburator engine and 4 speed gearbox. To have one back on the driveway would be awesome.
Here in South Africa its everywhere, VW produced many variants for us up till 2009 when the mk1 was discontinued and then they made 100 special edition mk1 golfs for us.

Well done guys, very inspiring. This just reminded me of some Alfa Romeo's somewhere in the flats in 1998 which we done very well. I wonder if you guys know anything about them. I can't really remember which township (Hanover park, Athlone etc.) Page maybe try and find those Alfas and let us know what they did.
