I read some Iommi's interview, some Fused stuff (probrably some riffs) was made for Sabbath (2004 reunion). But i'm really fine for this material get some different direction (because Hughes' vocals) and i'm waiting for some Fused 2
@@MutambaBrazil You can really tell some of these were intended for an Ozzy-fronted Sabbath album. I could easily picture him singing on this track, for example.
I'm a fan of Hard/Heavy Rock from it's beginning with the Kinks 'You Really Got Me'! There's been a Ton o' great stuff since then, but I've never heard a better written and produced Hard/Heavy track in my life than this. When you understand the singer's Serious/almost life taking drug story throughout this whole album, it hits cosmically hard with Tony's Doomiest riffs of all time!
How did I ever miss this? What a terrific piece of music; it's very rare for me to be so awesomely surprised at my age. Thank you Evan and Thank You Tony Iommi.
The plan was indeed a strong idea, mate. Ozzfest '05 was where it was supposed to happen (apparently). Dio, GZR, Iommi, and then Sabbath. I still think Sharon vetoed that idea. Another was to screw Ronnie. Don't quote me on that. Edit: The part mentioned above about Ozzfest was wrong.
Tony, I am blown away at your playing. I feel that you are kinda being mixed low though. I fucking love you dude, but I feel that you are being covered up. I want to hear more of just You. Tony, you are a fucking God to me.
Sean him with Ozzy and dio,,,,,he makes the band with whoever he's with tony is rare ,like Hendrix ,tommy bolin ,robin trower these are some who are already inducted in all time guitarists, but there's more
Bob Marlette certainly doesn't play bass but rather keyboards on this song, like on the Neal Schon albums that he contributed to. A pity I don't like Glenn Hughes' voice... I could enjoy him on Seventh Star because he wasn't going high, just keeping it in the lower, cleaner range. But here, he sings much higher, with a strained throat... This said, it's a good song. Iommi is awesome and the style is different from the BS style, which is a nice change.
+StartabandRoxy It's more country than anything, or it can be traced there, at least. You'd enjoy more music if you didn't care about pretension, I missed out on a lot of cool music 'cause of it.
SinisterSkyline It's not genre snobbery for me. I cannot stand the vocal inflections here and as you say it might go back to country. It doesn't matter, I just know I can't stand it.
No, this song sucks . It's good. But it sucks. Is this a "Black Sabbath" song ? Hope not.Because it ain't good. Licenced "INgrooves (on behalf of Sanctuary); UBEM, ARESA, PEDL, AMRA, Abramus Digital, ASCAP, Kobalt Music Publishing, Warner Chappell, CMRRA, and 3 Music Rights Societies" If ya need all of'em, it ain't good. :)
Glenn's vocals blesses Iommi's work literally, one of the best duo in hard rock history 🔮
The best song Black Sabbath never recorded. Makes the hairs on my arms stand up every time.
lorisarvendu was this written for Sabbath?
Well it was written by Iommi, but Geezer didn't write the lyrics, so no.

Me too. One of the most emotional songs he's ever done...and my fave Iommi solo...all nerve juice and totally moving.

Thank You GLENN
The whole record is a win. It's fantastic.
Note to all!!!! This is how you make a epic song.
Glenn's bass-work is always so under-rated ... so good on this tune, just like his vocals! 👍
Iommi and Aronoff are pure GOLD, too!
*IOMMI THE RIFFMASTER*
Every time I listen to this, I go wow! Tony , Glenn, Bob and Kenny Aronoff, pity they never toured.
The plan was indeed a strong idea, mate. Ozzfest '05 was where it was supposed to happen (apparently). Dio, GZR, Iommi, and then Sabbath. I still think Sharon vetoed that idea. Another was to screw Ronnie.

@@KRS2000 I won't, but thanks.
My favourite guitar solo from Iommi. Packs some serious feels. Such an awesome record.

So love this tune ... such gravity to it.
I think next I'll listen to Glenn on his early 70's Trapeze album "Medusa."

Best ever. Great collaboration.
Kenny Aronoff doesn't hurt this track...
What a great song! Somehow it reminds me of "Lonely is the Word", very different songs but both with wonderful guitar solos
Agree
BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO ... 1000 TIMES BRAVO!
Right up there with the best either have done. Awesome drumming too!
Mr. Anthony "Riff Master" Frank Iommi
Mr. Glenn "The Voice Of Rock" Hughes

The mid-groove is really worth the wait. Certainly not a filler.
I remember the first time I heard this song hitting that 5:13 moment… just perfect
Best naruto fight amv ever...too much nostalgia
Truly beautiful song!
Kenny Motherfuckin' Aronoff on drums! Unca Tony doesn't surround himself with crap musicians if he can help it.
Magnificent!!!
Iommi, sia con Hughes che con Gillan, sempre tanta roba 🤟🏻

....so glad this found me,,, ......so killer!!!!! \,,/
Iommis guitar work unfreakin believable.normally not a Hughes vocal fan but this works.somebody give me a joint
Would have definitely paid to see this line up, sadly Tony left it behind, for the 1997 Sabbath reunion tour.
Tony, I am blown away at your playing. I feel that you are kinda being mixed low though. I fucking love you dude, but I feel that you are being covered up. I want to hear more of just You. Tony, you are a fucking God to me.
This is bad, Lommi i love y music! 🤘😲😁🤪
Music style is crazy!! 😲 I like to sing/play like this sound, y music makes me f...... high. But WHO cares? I play my one shit, and i only care. Haha
I line Glenn when he sings straight without that voice he does in the first verse.
Really great. Must hunt the album down.
Halford would love to sing this one!
@epstein was killed
Halford would interpret with more pain and suffering.
@@hardheavy1031 .. Great observation on Halfords style. No one sings like him

Glenn Hughes in general.... ugg
Yea, he’s decent, I just don’t really think he is that great over Iommi’s riffs

Best vocal in the actuality of all vocals from the 70s
I don't like the modern emo-rock touches Hughes had here. The chorus is also quite Linkin Park ...Ughh. It could have been good otherwise.
