      It's absolutely insane what he does but it's still just Possible until he actually does it. I do however hope he does get it done Records meant to be broken

      I think he was a little unlucky not to be given that bench press, then he wouldn't have gone for an impossible deadlift. Record will fall soon

    Proof that strength is about strength and size! Not muscle definition or body fat percentage!

      Strength is about strength? Lol, you make no sense. People can be strong with a lower body fat percentage, as exhibited by the guys in the lower weight classes.

      @@StrengthUniverse Well, I don’t think we need proof that a guy who squats 1000lbs weighs almost 400lbs, that should be pretty obvious.

      @@TobyFromGTWhat are you on about dummy? I'm pointing out common sense which shows the stupidity in the world's belief that strength is purely about muscle definition and the fact that I have to say that strength is strength!

    Can Jesus take the 490 record in sleeves? It'd be amazing to see him do a squat only meet

      He achieved a 478kg Squat and was awarded a good lift. He achieved a 275kg bench press but racked it marginally to early and thus wasn't given the lift, had the bench press been awarded he probably would have gone for a 415kg deadlift which would have easily given him the overall win and the 2nd highest total of all time regardless of organisation and Sleeves vs Wraps

    Mate was really unlucky with his Rerack on Bench, that 3rd Attempt flew. Some people commentated that they feel he failed his Deadlift due to Grip, but I think he was just not strong enough.
    Would not ve the first time seeing a Lifter underperform on the Platform due to fatigue or just having Bad Meets; Vlad Alhazov has videos flat back Bench-Pressing over 297kg (650lbs) comfortably in Training when he made his Miracle Comeback, but after Squatting 505kg (1114lbs), his shoulders were so taxed he could barely budge past 227kg (500lbs).
    If he had decided to go up immediately instead of trying again on Deadlifts, and fixing that Bench, I think he could have gone for ~410kg and Totalled either 1143kg (2520lbs) or 1163kg (2564lbs). I had doubts initially (tearing for Burnout or Injury TBF), but seeing his numbers in Training and, if all Stars suddenly alligned, I think he absolutely can break Dan's Wrapped Total.
    Great Highlights mate. Hope you are better, have a nice day, noon or night 🙏.

      That Bench Press was harsh, sometimes the judges let rules get in the way of common sense lol. The 429 deadlift was required to win the competition by 0.8% but he's never successfully pulled that weight even in training; like you I think he had the grip just not the strength after that squat.
      There is talk of Jesus competing in wraps; give him several months to get used to them and I think he could challenge Vlads World record. In saying that Jesus is young and I'd hate to see him suffer a serious injury.

      Yeah, sometimes I have problems with the Ruleset. Back in June 2014, Derek Kendall did a 1020lbs Squat to break the ATWR Squat of 1014lbs that Malan set just two months before, *BUT* since he stumbled before Reracking it, he was Red-Lighted. And it was a picture perfect Squat, from start to end... Vlad himself also "Bombed Out" on the Meet on which he Squatted the ATWR with Wraps and on which he should have achieved the 2nd Heaviest All-Time Total in 2018 because he "Did not have a controlled descent of the Bar" on Deadlifts, when reality is he manhandled +840lbs so easily he basically was throwing it and got Red-Lighted... Is like the "Press Out" in Oly Lifting, for example. That Rule basically trashed Bruno Sammartino's Olympic Career and was the sole reason why he went to Pro Wrestling, having the potential to be a Gold Medalist when he was on his Early 20s. Its infuriating TBF.
      I did not know about Jesus getting on Wraps. Would be quite interesting. I do think he could have a go for Vlad's 1114lbs, but I do not know, honestly. People said that Ray could, too, but Ray himself said that he never uses Wraps because he never get anything at all and was just plain not his thing. Then there are guys like Belkin who somehow got over 200lbs with them LMAO.
      Yes, because of his Age, especially, I really have that fear always on the back of my head whenever I see him. So many youngsters get either injured or burn out for trying to rush things. Nakonechnyy and Richardson both ripped out their biceps, even though they recovered. And just recently, Pavlo blew (figuratively) his knee on the past Arnold. Heck, even guys much more experienced, like Thor, got his pec ripped off. I really hope he manages to start healthy and keep improving.

    Not being much into powerlifting I couldn’t work out what was wrong with his 3rd bench. Harsh but them be the rules. Looked like he was a mile off 429. Should have gone damage limitation there rather than try and pull a miracle out of the bag for the win.

      @Saki-Malo Před 3 měsíci +2

      He missed the rerack command meaning he racked the bar before the judges had told him to. And as for the deadlift he’s hit 426kg in training but I agree, in a full meet like this(and hitting a squat pr too) hitting a deadlift pr would be nearly impossible
