I think a metal channel for a hospital style curtain would really be great for day sleeping and blocking out light or for stealth camping on a street and keeping light from shining outside.
I got all excited cause I saw one on a full-size truck the other day and was like "oh, hey. I recognize that kind of camper." 😁
6 weeks away from picking up my Kimbo.....some new options now...mine will have 3 solar panels on top! Thanks for sharing!

I honestly hadn’t considered or thought it was a good idea to have a camper on a Tacoma until I started following your build. Now I’m seriously considering a kimbo as a good winter option!

You mentioned that the heater really ties to the place together, have you considered getting a really nice rug it’ll really tie the whole room together. I saw that recommendation and a really great documentary called the big Lebowski or some kind of documentary about bowling

It's a great option better than other campers. But the van have It's own qualities.
P.s LOVE the simplicity of the Kimbo....things that I would change ( the ladder isnt great) probably roof rack on top (SUP boards and kiteboards...just my thoughts!!!

Talon, I agree with virtually everything that you say in both this video and the 'hate' video, but I think the top of my negative list is simply finding a comfortable place to sit and read or relax. How do you do it? My Kimbo is like yours except no A/C and the Dommetic refrigerator is a slide-our drawer instead of having a door. It is fine, except the controls are very hard to get to and adjust.
I wish my traditional bumper-pull camper was this... accessible(?). I wish I could easily remove a panel to get access to what's behind it, especially now that it has water damage somehow. Damn campers.

Question: I saw that you removed the AC unit…is there an AC option that you know of that would work without having to hook up to shore power or a generator?
Not that is offered by kimbo.
Great video and love the channel. Can you elaborate at all on how you have the ecoflow connecting to a bus bar? Do you use a fuse box or just a bus bar and what is powered off that? The max amps out of that 5521 output must be pretty low???
1 of the AC plugs run power to a bus bar which splits the power between the ceiling fan, fireplace fan and carbon detectors etc.

What do you do about chairs, fire pit and my big one, Where do you store your skis??!
Chairs on the side of the camper in the bed. LavaBox in the truck and skis on the side or inside (I’ll make a video on the ski setup before the end of the season)
That’s so cool what kind of truck do you need for that? Like can I get by with a Ranger or do I need like an F150?
Anything with a 6ft bed.

I like the simplicity of it for sure . 1 1/2 yrs ago when I was looking, I got a new travel lite camper for just under &11,000 I’m not sure why I didn’t get the Kembo , I did look at them . I love mine for my taco it’s at 1,000 lbs .

How's that eco flow working out? I plan on full timing in a Kimbo when I get one and that Ecoflow is definitely getting replaced.

Love the Kimbo and am seriously considering. Are there any owners in the mid-Atlantic region that would allow my wife and I to take a look inside their Kimbo? My wife gets anxious if the sleeping area is tight and we'd like to check it out...thanks in advance.

Our Dickinson blows out all the time at 10k elevation 25 mph winds, won't stay lit.
In what application? In a kimbo? New / old kimbo? Something else?
@@TalonSei in our Scout Kenai. I added a propex heater which works flawlessly in any blizzard we've encountered, but the Dickinson can't stay lit at high altitude and a little wind. We've done all adjustments, different orifices, regulator adjustments, etc., it just doesn't work at high elevation and wind.
Scout is notorious for mounting the heaters too high and they don’t have any protection on the chimney to stop it from blowing out. That’s a very common issue with their campers.
@@TalonSei Yes, ours is in a 21 kenai, lower than the other models, the issue as you say is the protective "shield" you have on the kimbo to keep it from blowing out. Even in no wind, it does not provide enough heat, nor stay lit at 10k elevation at temps around 0-20 F. It would be interesting to see how your kimbo would do in a true winter test at Wolf creek overnight lot during a snow event parked next to us. Thanks for your reply, and the videos!
Have you figured out if you could add a microwave? I currently have a Revel and carry a microwave which give me lots of options at the end of the day.
I don’t want a microwave in here but I could add one where my Anker battery sits

I think I'm the only who is over the Kimbo content. It is an amazing product but im ready for new content and gear reviews.
No shower, no toilet.
Has a shower under the bench seat and even room for a toilet there too. You can see all of that in my videos from earlier this year.
