The Unity situation has been resolved with the latest post made by the CEO, which honestly I was surprised to see. Although the damage may have been done already, everything is resolved to how it was before in terms of the new "Runtime Fee" and policy changes. Great video recapping the Slime Rancher timeline though, and we shall wait for more awesome updates to the sequel!
"On the positive side sure it was a good year for the sequel, sure we didn't get much in the way of updates..." Then it wasn't a good year. That is gaslighting as all he**. It was terrible and people should be demanding better from this studio that now has the budget of a AAA developer from their last game. That feature like the weather is a core engine feature that's pre alpha in game development, not beta. We are paying them to be QA testers at this point. Yes that's sort of what happens with all early access but 99% of AAA and AA early access studio games don't release into public beta testing until actually in beta.
I hope it comes out on ps5 because my laptop runs at 5-7 fps 💀i think its the graphics and the laptop is around 12 years old but still, its extremely difficult to play no matter how fun it is so yea.
