The strength in your eyes was incredible. You were crying but there was this determined look on your face that was amazing to watch. Props to you for being such an incredible fighter and for being so gracious to that sweet nurse even while in so much pain. Sending love!💕💕
You. Are. Amazing.
I didn't know you watch them! Sorry I haven't been active on your Chanel lately, but I will soon!
I'm so sorry to see you in such pain, you are a strong lady.
I'm from Australia with Crohn's and I've had multiple surgeries and I just want to say thank you for sharing your journey...you're a genuinely beautiful person inside and out.
She really is incredible❤
The pain we go through for relief. Maggie you are so brave and inspiring. I hope you know that
I just wanted to hug you when you cried Maggie. You are entitled to use what ever language you like after what you went through! :)
Dont worry, off camera I let out some choice words! 🤣
Hi, I'm 50 and have had IBS since I was 22. I'd have popped an extra 2 of those pain pills for that. My heart went out for you so much during the stitches getting removed.
Oh my heart was breaking for you. You were so kind to the lady removing your stitches. You showed amazing grace while being in such great pain. Truly awesome. Zak’s a good one.
You deserve some world class pampering after that.Watching you cry was heartbreaking.
Oh Maggie! My heart goes out to you! I just wanted to cry for you, I actually did! So glad you took your pain meds ahead! Having so many surgeries & complications I just couldn’t handle you being in pain! I was one of the ones that wrote take your pain meds ahead! THANK YOU! You have been through enough!!! Now speedy recovery you awesome, brave woman! I had an emotional cry for you as well!❤️🇨🇦
Can I just say, I've binged watched a lot of your videos now. I'm so proud of your journey and that the fact you faced so many obstacles you've still managed to succeed in your nursing career and making such a huge difference to others. I have had some of my own physical traumas and found it very difficult to translate it in my nursing career. Your such an inspiration Maggie 💜💕💜
♡♡♡ it can be difficult. I found it difficult being a former patient at the hospital I worked at. I always had a sinking feeling going in because it felt like I was going in for some procedure!
@@LetsTalkIBD Could've U Asked For A Anastatic Or Any Thing To Numb The Area
Sorry you have to go through so much pain. I hope you feel better each day. You're an amazing young lady.
I do not understand why they do not have something to spray or dab onto the area to numb it until the stitches are removed. I am glad that this is over for you, and you are truly blessed to have Zach at your side.
This was cringy to watch. I don't know their standards but she would feel almost nothing here. With deep long-term stitches like these a lidocaine is a normal thing. Why leave her suffer when an injection is all she needs? And if she has some medical problems with lidocaine... there are many ways how to numb the area. This was just stupid from the doctor telling "I don't wanna hurt you" when she don't need to. They rather give Oxycodon (strong and addictive opium) than two shots of lidocaine into a butt.
I had staples ......when they were removed I had gas and air, the recall ones were agony ! 27 years and my eyes water thinking about it!
OB/GYNs and proctologists can provide local anesthesia............they just choose not to. It's just the truth. There's no excuse for this kind of treatment. Fight for your right to humane medical treatment. The doctor kept saying she was sorry but she could have easily saved her all that trauma.
It is 26 years since I had the panproctocolectomy, and I am now 80. I was in hospital for three months. This was under our much maligned national health service, I could not fault my treatment in any way, when it came for the removal of the stitches/staples my treasure of a nurse came along with a gas and air machine , so I feel for all those who were not afforded that consideration. To all those facing the procedure with trepidation, I can only say that suffering with ulcerative colitis since my 20s it has been not only life saving , but life enhancing.
Yeah this is really bothering me, I've had local anesthesia for *way* less. No clue why they omitted it here
Maggie, you and Zak are very, very special people. I can see by your videos how much this hurts, and how much you both mean to each other., and how much both of you are really going through. You are so lucky to have found each other, most people in the world today never get that. The whole world could do with people like you and Zak in their lives. Watching Your journey has given me strength i didn’t know i had. I am so sorry that you are going through this, but Thank you for sharing it with us, it really, really does make a difference, thank you. Xx

Maggie you're so brave! Girl you did wonderfully, bless you. I hate that IBD puts us through so much pain, even to make us well. Thank god it's done with now, and you can focus on healing and moving forward. Well done lady.
Sending a prayer your way for the best possible outcome. You are an amazing multi faceted individual, giving strength to others! 🙏

Our stories are so similar and you are insanely strong!!! You have helped me so much! I have a temp and seeing this scares me because I know this is my fate one day! I have just accepted it. When they pulled my tube out of my tummy after my colostomy I felt the same and I cried watching yours because it was so much to go through but I went through it alone. You are so blessed to have zack. I watched this video and just cried for you. You have to just cry. Crying not just because pain but everything you go through and have to be strong for.
You are truly the bravest and most beautiful warrior on this matter. You deserve an award for your courage in showing the truth of this condition. My prayers are with your healing. Thank you so much for teaching the world.

Watching you cry made me cry 💔 sweetie you're so strong!!! I've had stitches in my labia removed and it was the most horribly painful thing ever, normally I'm okay with pain, but it was on another level 😩 made me cry so much. I hope you never have to go through pain like that again 💙 biggest hugs from me and my dog ♥️

Good brave girl! I wish you all the happiness in the world!
Life is NOT FAIR. I don’t have any reason to relate to this disease but you...you remind me how resilient we can be if we choose to be. Blessings.
I don't know how you can even walk. It's such a delicate area. Blessings and sending you healing energy.❤
Sweet brave girl! You brighten my day ❤️
You are very brave and handled a very difficult and painful experience with grace and dignity. Us women are so strong when we need to be. Blessings...❤️
Hi Maggie, I hope you are feeling better. I just wanted you to know that I am a practicing RN in a boarding school, and have no experience with your DX. I am really learning
a lot and if I do get a student with this disease, I will at least know something so I thank you so much for educating me. I wish you health and happiness. Hugs.....
I am so sorry you were in pain I cried with you I haven’t been throw that kinda of stitches removeI but I have had extremely painful stitches removed and it sucked when you told Zak I am gonna punch you! You reminded me of saying the same thing to my husband with my shoulder much love and respect 💜
I had my stitches out 3 weeks ago, 10 in all, I understand what you went through completely, the nurse said the same thing "sorry about the pain" I just wanted them out. Some of my stitches had new skin growing over so when they were pulled with the tweezers , woweeee. You were so brave. I have learned a lot from your videos, thanks for posting : )
Maggie you are so positive god bless you. I cannot imagine the pain
Hello, just found your channel last night & binge watched for several hours. You are amazing for sharing this, I have Crohns & although it’s under control right now, I really cannot imagine what you have been through. Many prayers to you as you heal 💜 Oh & I’m in south jersey so I totally get the need for WaWa lol!!
You are a superhero! Jesus I could feel your pain. That's a sensitive area. I've had 2 sections, 2 back surgeries for rod placement from top of my back to right above my butt crack and I know it hurts couldn't imagine in that area. God bless you
You're so impressive, I proud of you. Be blessed.
You don’t always have to be smiling. I do same thing and working on stopping and letting people see my breakdown and lose it. Colonoscopy in 3 weeks Your videos have made me feel better about the surgery should I have to make a decision ty again you sweet thing.
Thank God for that sweet supportive hubby of yours! Way to be there!
Ooooooh my gosh Maggie you are such a trooper. I felt so bad for you but I hope the worst is done with. ❤
Oh Maggie I cried with you!! Praying you are feeling so much better! You are an inspiration to so many!❤️🙏
gram king I did also
Wahhh I hope I didn't upset anyone with this!
Congrats on getting them beasty stiches removed; you were so brave ; wishes for speedy recovery.
I had to turn away when you were crying while they pulled out the stitches. I couldn't bare to see you cry like that 😭 I'm a fellow chronic illness warrior and while I don't know exactly how that felt, I can empathize with high amounts of pain where you put fingernail prints in your own hand from clenching. I hope it's a relieving feeling to have them out and I hope you're starting to feel a little better because of it. ❤️
I feel sooooo much better if that helps! I was worried this video would scare some but also wanted to show the reality!
@@LetsTalkIBD I very much like that you have a balance of positive videos to ones showing the hardships. It definitely makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong when chronic illness CZcamsrs only show the positive. And I enjoy seeing other people's coping mechanisms. Thank you so much for replying to me!! It makes me feel so special! Sending my love to you zak and your pets! ❤️❤️❤️
I had to fast forward taking out the stitches.😭You are a ROCKSTAR. Glad that’s done for you!
You are a very brave young lady. Kudos !!! 🇨🇦
I started crying when you did. Feel so sorry but super happy you will NEVER EVER need to do that again 👍
With all pain you have, you’re amazing.
Oh, man. This brought me to tears.
Oh Maggie that broke my heart. You have such a good guy though. He is a treasure. Sending you lots of love!♥️
Without going into detail I have had similar situation. It just sucks. Prayers
You are so very brave Maggie !
Good job Maggie, so sorry it was so painful
I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I'm praying for you ❤
hi Maggie glad you had all the stitches out as I went through the same thing just before Christmas I can totally understand how you feel with them in with the pulling and the same with them out ..
You brought tears to my eyes.
You are so brave....and your husband is fabulous
So sorry it was so painful, well done you xx
Oooo flower I fell for you!! So hard to see you cry .... hope this will be the end of this
Beautful for telling your story I don’t have it glad to learn and prayers to you🙏🏾
Thank you for sharing your story! I personally do not have autoimmune/gi issues, but I like to gather knowledge to better understand others. My mom is actually a pediatric gi nurse so I had some knowledge of these issues from her. On another note, I got so excited when I saw the Wawa! I had no idea you lived in PA too!!
Oh bless you, feel for you so much! I had stitches removed from my eyeball last month,it's far from pleasant and painkillers don't help...so just really feel for u having to go through it
I'm SO glad that's over with. I have had stitches removed many times out of my upper lip and nose, from multiple cleft pallet repair surgeries. I'm sure it wasn't as painful as yours, but..I understand the pain. ❤
Maggie, you are such a brave young woman! I want to thank you SO much for putting your story out there. I started watching your vids a couple years ago when my husband had emergency surgery for diverticulitis and ended up with a loop ileostomy. Your videos got me through that time when we were figuring out what bags worked best for him, how to treat irritated skin around the stoma, etc. He had closure surgery 5 months later and we are currently sitting in the hospital again after getting two parastomal hernias removed. His pain last night was out of control on both dilaudid and oxy, we just couldn’t get it managed. I remembered one of your videos you saying you preferred toradol and suggested to his surgeon we try it. As of this morning he’s finally out of bed, walking around and feeling so much better. I don’t know how to thank you but you have been so much help to us the last 2 years of his journey. You are the BEST! ♥️
Im so glad that wound up being the answer!!
You are so brave. What a beautiful woman you are, such a great couple. I only came across your videos tonight and am sending so much love to you from England. X x x
Oh no...I'm having this done June 23rd. You are such a rock star!
Maggie you are one tough cookie! Many times my husband had to hold my hand and when I was so sick he would come to stay with me at the hospital on weekends, he would do all the care for me that the nurses did during the week. Even gave me bed baths because he felt that they weren't cleaning me good enough. I was truly blessed like you are with Zach. I am truly thankful that you have shared all of these videos, it reminds me that I am not the only one who has those types of health issues. love you girl!
Your so sorry but even though you see her pain but don't go get the pain spray even my dr uses it for shots for arthritis shame on the dr
Hope you are feeling great!!!!!
Years ago I had my first c-section. I forgot how long the stitches were in, but by the time they removed them there were ones that were kind of glued to my skin by a little blood that came out and some had a few hairs on them and OMG! I felt for you on this one!
You are such a braveheart.....much love to you. Xx
Am I seeing things or does the drivers side of the car keep switching??? Just started watching your channel when I saw it pop up one day, love it! Hope you are doing well and recover from surgery with no more issues.
I'm so sorry you are going through what you are going through, you are such an inspiration though, but I also realize that doesn't matter at times. But thanks for the "WaWa" adventure, I hadn't been in one since 1963!! In Pennsylvania :).
So so sorry Maggie. I must say though that you are incredibly brave. Good luck to you hon.
Inspirational young lady, found out this morning I’ve got the same op planned unfortunately, but hey ho life is what it is so jus get on with it 👍
Keep the vidz coming 👏
You got this! Waffle cushions are amazing (got mine cheap on Amazon!)
Deep respect. Love u dear.. Get well soon♥️♥️♥️
Wow! You are so brave and such a superstar!
It was really hard watching you in so much pain while the stitches were being removed🥺.. I'm very thankful Zach was there with you, holding your hand. Not very many men, it seems, will go to appointments like this. I got my "Invisible Illness" sweatshirt on Monday🤗, and wore it to pick up my groceries Tuesday! It's soooooo soft!💜💜
So glad!! Saw your pic on ig - gorgeous!!!
