- The star of Netflix's wildly popular show 'Stranger Things' stopped by WHOSAY for another edition of our #powerofinfluence video series.
"I think that there's a lot of pressure on kids today in terms of acting, even in terms of the entertainment industry, that sort of forces them to not develop their individual voice, but wants them to be sort of popular in a certain way. I think that's sort of a tragedy"

This guy, just even based on his interviews alone, has rapidly become one of my favorite actors. He's an incredibly well-thought and articulate artist who truly understands acting and the value of it.
David Harbour is the manliest leading role cast in a long time. I wish this would happen more often.
1:17 "I always felt like I was on the outside of things, and I couldn't understand human beings very well." *_ME_*
What a classy, intelligent man.
The interviewer did an excellent job. That was the most interesting interview of David Harbour I've seen.
Thanks!
Okay...why do I feel like I know David Harbour? Awesome actor and seems like a really good man.
He is a very cool guy
Wow, one of the most intellectually rich, philosophically profound interviews I've seen, not only with Harbour, but with actors in general. The interviewer asks excellent questions and gives Harbour the space to generate some really deep and empathic responses. This guy has really been a hidden gem in the acting community. I see him as a conglomerate of many of the personalities that he references in this piece, like Hackman, Nolte, Nicholson, and even H. Ford. I really do hope he works on his writing skills because here is a guy who could put out a phenomenal book on acting, Hollywood, casting, dramatics, and life in general. Thank you for posting this interview, whoever you are!
Thanks we appreciate it!
look for another interviews - he is amazing
I couldn't agree more -- I've seen lots of interviews with the cast and creators of this amazing show ("Stranger Things") but most of the interviewers are either annoyingly vacuous or talk so much that the subjects rarely get to finish their sentences. I hadn't been familiar with Lyndsey Rodrigues prior to watching this, but her work here is excellent and really brought out some insightful responses from a clearly intelligent actor. I enjoyed this very much.
Woah, I was not expecting these kind of questions from the interviewer. This interview is so refreshing! I'm tired of listening to reporters asking the cast what their "strangest fan encounter has been"!
hot, hot, hot.
Hi
I think the kids on Stranger Things are incredibly lucky to have someone like David around to give them advice and encouragement. I love how he talks about those kids.
David Harbour is an absolutely phenomenal actor and seems like an absolutely likeable guy.
His answers are so profound!
This is one of the best David Harbour interviews I’ve seen! I have loved this guy for the past 5-6 years, and sadly have only ever seen him in small roles, so I was so happy and excited for him to see him in the lead role that he deserves in Stranger Things.
I love this man ❤️❤️
I was one of those people who, from the first scene, saw the good things in the character, and liked him. This is a multi-dimensional portrayal of a "prickly" person. Good interview.
This interview just blew my goddamn mind, and I’ve just found a reason to live. Kinda heavy and abrupt and a little weird, yeah, but it’s the truth. Holy. Shit.
Elliott Davies The truth sets us free, nothing is more liberating than truth.
I don't know why people wouldn't like Hopper from the get-go. I LOVED him from S1E1. A pill-popping, drunk of a cop?! C'mon, that's deep shit that needs psychological exploration! LOVE IT!! On another note, what's up with his left pinky finger?! 14:50
SHIT, I'm so in love. 😍What a man.
This is a fantastic interview
LOVE this guy
I have watched a LOT of interviews on CZcams, and this was one of the best interviews I have ever seen! Really good job!
She’s great, love David

wow david harbour is a very great actor and person in general honestly whoever doesn't like him you can kindly piss off☺️💯
Now that I know his story I kinda feel like him
What an incredible man
Love love love
David Harbour is good people.
That's a cool Aussie-American blend of an accent...
he understands empathy because he's been an outsider
SORRY SPOKE TOO SOON
I think he looks like Geralt of Rivia! he would make a great geralt for a series or movie
Did anyone notice that when the camera is on both of them the circle with the star in the middle is like 75% painted but when its just on david the circle is like 80% painted. Im so confused
Monte I believe it’s a reflection of the light! I’m more confused by the empty coffee cups and David holding a to-go-cup 😂😂I would happily get him a refillable cup because of the ENVIRONEMENT 😆👍
A manly man!
Seeing Rodríguez written that way is making my eyes bleed
Now I'm thinking .. was Christian Bale a child actor? ? No idea
Ayelen Maldonado Isn’t C B the guy who beat up someone? 🤨 Gotta research this...
Yes
How come the white side of the star keeps changing all the time from angle to angle?
it's shiny so it's just the way that the light is hitting it
emily c I don't know... that's weird...
It’s a glare from the light
He's such a guy
What even is that accent
hot, hot, hot.
