In your journey as an early career teacher in a mainstream school, you may teach pupils with additional needs.
This can be highly rewarding and present opportunities to make a big impact on young people and help develop your own teaching and learning.
We hear from Nikki and Emma of Ellen Tinkham School, a special school in Devon, as they share their advice for early career teachers.
Ellen Tinkham School is supporting Teach First with the Early Career Framework (ECF), developing resources to help early career teachers thrive.

Just started working in SEN. I don’t think I’ll ever look back.
How was your first day? I am getting in TA but have zero experience. I work as a school photographer and have been in schools a lot but of course being a TA would be a different ball game so I am a bit nervous!
Its my first day today and I too have no experience but met the kids and they seem really happy, hows it going with you?@@dhirenphotovideo
My advise is just to throw yourself in, everyone is mostly so friendly and open. ❤ open heart, open mind, listening, curiosity, and gentleness.
Thanks so much for uploading this video to CZcams
