- If you’re craving a good rotisserie chicken, it’s hard to beat Costco. After all, you can head to the bulk store and buy a whole rotisserie chicken for just $4.99, and it always tastes great. Of course, you will likely find yourself buying a few other things while you’re there, because it’s quite challenging not to, but you’ll still be getting a good deal. While a lot of things seem too good to be true, Costco’s chicken is the real deal, and it’s not quite as unhealthy as you may think. Make sure you don’t eat another Costco rotisserie chicken until you watch this.

In your opinion, who has the best rotisserie chicken?
this channel is so dead
Mashed Any place that’s none of the places you guys mentioned.. I’d rather pay $7+ for a normal healthy bird than 3.99 for a 3lb bird that through genetic modification grows so fast that it’s bones cannot keep up leaving most of them to walk on broken legs while alive.

I cook those chickens and just wanted to let you all know that Costco has a strict time limit of two hours in the warmer and no more. So you can be assured that your Costco chicken is fresh! ♥️
Passions .. we separate the drumsticks and thighs and sell them chilled. You get 8 drumsticks and 8thighs for $4.99. The breast meat we use in our deli entrées: Chicken Pot pie, Chicken Soup, Chicken Enchiladas, and Chicken Alfredo . And the carcass goes into the bone barrel and just used by a company that makes good dirt. So you see, nothing goes to waste! But honestly, we usually sell all the chickens during the day. :)
How do you make sure they’re cooked perfectly and what ovens do you use?
Title suggests i need to stay away but contents tells me head straight to Costco and get 5 of these.
They are great!! Huge also.
Their way of getting your attention. 😁
Is this just an 12 minute advertisement paid by Costco? This video does not need to be this long or have such a slow pace
I loved the part where she takes the fully re heated chicken out of the oven with her bare hands. LOL!
What, you don't have half inch callouses on your hands too?
At 400 degrees no less 😳
you believe she really reheated it and not just acting like filming a movie? :l its staged

I can get three meals out of a bird. Chicken Breast for dinner. Chicken Salad Sandwiches. Chicken Noodle Soup. And stock.
The Best Rotisserie Chicken Ever 😋😋
yeps for a couple a whole chicken goes a long way i roast my own though it's such a no brainer if you don't feel like cooking salt pepper throw it in oven if you do want to cook go whole hog lift the skin put herbed butter under it or brine it millions of ways ask google lol
@@pl7868 Just a question, but how do you cook the stock from the bones?

Costco is the only place I'd buy a rotisserie chicken from. They sell a ton so they're always fresh, they're cheaper than everyone else, and their chickens are larger. Win win win
I’ve just found out how horribly their chickens are treated. Please reconsider. If you just search Costco chicken you will find so many things wrong.
@@baileysampson5120 might I reccomend a friend aka that vegan teacher
Before or after they kill them? Lol ...
@@baileysampson5120 I don't care how they kill the chicken, pigs or cows. I care about all other animals though like bears, cats, dogs, elephants etc....we need chicken and cows and pigs to eat.
The organic rotisserie from Whole Foods when cooked well done is delicious!
The bones and skin of these chickens make the absolute best broth. Freeze in ziploc bags for later use. Yesterday I made beans with fried cut kielbasa sausages using dried beans and the broth; amazingly delicious. Don't forget to use onion!!
At 11:24, bare handed lady removing a baking dish from a 400* oven.

Clearly the baking dish was not hot!

I stop at Costco on the way home from work, and I just get a chicken... sometimes I get a case of bottled water, too, but usually just the bird.
“You’re a talker. Listening to talkers make me thirsty.......and hungry......think I’ll take two chickens.” The Hound (GOT)
So you remove a dish from a 400° oven with bare hands?! These make awesome bone broth.
Mashed, awesome video! Enjoy your week!💯🙏👐
My cat loves these chickens and demands to have a bit every day. I literally have to buy a chicken a week JUST for the cat!
Ha ha ha bless your soul 🙏 😄
This is my dogs food each week. They love it!💕
Air Fryer re-heated Rotisserie Chicken is delish'. Actually crisps up the skin.
And people are complaining about it will dry it out, of course if you leave it in there long
Thanks for the facts.Definetly one of my favorite items from COSTCO.
Hey, for $5, it's an outstanding deal. The wife and I will eat half of it after bringing it home, while it's still hot. We usually have a small salad along with it. The other half we stretch over two more meals, one where we make sammies out of the meat, the other we'll toss into a dinner salad. That's three meals for $5 - well, at least the main course part of it. Altogether we probably spend about $15 max for those three meals.
Don't forget that after you've eaten the meat, you can toss everything that's left like the bones and scraps of meat into some boiling water to make chicken broth. The best way is to set some of the chicken meat aside, then you can shred it and add it to the broth after removing the chicken scrap, and then add some noodles, vegetables, and spices for homemade chicken noodle soup
I buy these and use 1/2 in a cold pasta salad and 1/2 in a chicken salad, then I can use the bones to make a chicken stock for a soup.
Great info and ideas. When using the carcass to make chicken stock, don't forget to toss in the juices from the bottom of the clam shell as well.
Absolutely..we always drain the clamshell for the juices..to make a pot of chicken noodle soup
Just bought one yesterday 😂
Costco chicken is great. Have to try their ribs when pandemic is over.
I work there and occasionally I get a bone shard stuck between my teeth. The flavor is amazing. Somedays this is what I have for lunch and dinner. Because I work close the corporate office during covid Costco feeds us 2 meals a day from the corporate delis!
Sorry you have to protect your job. I understand. Noing your commitment I question the esteem of the Chinese overseas trading company.
The ribs are nasty
Ribs are great!
@@lollypop3818 Huh?
Cost benefits of buying pre made chicken is too convenient to make your own whole chicken.
enjoyed the bit about buying the one with the most oil. possibly should do that when choosing a lover too i suppose
I always get at least a couple. We enjoy salads, sandwiches, soups & stews. And they’re always delicious.
Thank you so much for sharing this...
If you have an instant pot, make your stock in it... fantastic!
This is so easy

Ok, so first I'd like to say I'd never go to Costco just for the chicken. But, I'd never leave Costco without buying 1 or 2 of them, one for that night and one I stick in the freezer for a quick meal later, (let the bashing begin). Yes, it's not as good as buying it fresh buy if you've ever been in a pinch and hate fast food, a frozen Costco chicken defrosted in the fridge overnight still tastes better than some supermarket brands. As far as the crispy skin, sure it's not crispy but, the kids still fight over it at the table and, if you've ever noticed, the one's in the supermarket that are actually labeled crispy rotisserie chicken are also the ones that are dry and overcooked AF. Will definitely try making the stock with my next Costco carcass.
Sadly the only rotisserie chicken I've had was from Walmart..but it wasn't *too* bad.
Kittra walmarts are trash once you’ve had Costco’s.
@@westwardpomonagyrl4358 Oh I don't doubt it, I unfortunately don't have one near me.
Walmart’s are also smaller. And more $
Then you can only go up from here. Walmart chix are TERRIBLE!!
Walmart’s chicken is so very skinny just like the ones from Publix which are sooo very expensive but weight about 1 1/2 pounds and Publix charges about $7.99. The chickens from Publix and Walmart look like Ethiopians
Eating one right now 😋

Hey, thank you!
Yum! Elders need more sodium to stay healthy. I'm figuring if I keep this in the diet I can give my Mom one less sodium pill per day.
Ground breaking journalism here. Wow.
Now I want a double quarter pounder☹
I find it so hilarious that they think people don’t already hear these in the oven. Everyone knows that the oven is better than the microwave for any food if you have the time.
Don't leave your health to strangers! Do your own cooking !
Going to go buy one rn
Sugar is a scary ingredient!
I do get slightly offended when looking at the size of supermarket rotisserie chickens. And I will absolutely walk in and walk out with my chicken but my husband won’t. 🤦🏽♀️🙄🤷🏽♀️
i havent even heard of Costco Rotisserie Chicken until this video lmao
I place the Costco chicken in my convection oven to crisp up the skin.m
Torch it to prevent drying it out.
Where do they come from? A farm? Or lab? Why do they pop in microwave
Like any other place don’t already do this, what’s the difference?
Try watching the video that you clicked on and maybe you won't have to ask stupid questions...
I take the skin off and fry it up in a cast iron pan. Crispy yumminess laid on top my chicken salad sandwich.
glad to see somebody telling about sodium

11:00 when you use the oven, the skin crisps, too.
No gluten??? What are they using in their Modified Food Starch????
You made me get a Costco membership
I'm still gonna get one every time I can step into Costco lmfao.
BEST chickens ever.. 4 lbs of roasted chicken for $ 5 bucks.. BEST value in todays inflation nitemare

It’s not bad. The dark meat is pretty wet. The white meat is white meat but still good. Not as dry as it looks
Now I know why you self promoting
Why am I watching a 10 minute video about Costco Chicken?
How did I get here?
Bout to go get 1 now
Nice 👍 GODBLESS
Thing about plastic it's the best material to use in terms of food handling due to hygiene and cost
Nice.....
this means that for 3oz meat is 1 ts. salt, this is huge, so how is that healthy?
Negative title for a looong positive content. You ok?
I go to Costco weekly and just get a chicken and then on other days I buy steaks but yes I can go into Costco and just buy a chicken in fact I'm about to do it now
Well I’m a vegan now but when I used to eat meat Costco chicken was one of the best.
I’ve heard of the rotisserie chicken, but always walked past it at Costco.
Bo Zhao it must be awesome to be you with you nose all pointed up in the air like that. Wow.
Why sugar?
For 5.00 I can make a huge pot of soup that last us for days!
Bought one yesterday really strong chemical taste...removed the skin and was a lot better..will definitely toss it though
The last 3 I bought were horrendously underdone - juices were still bloody
Every time i get a chicken from costco its always undercooked. I now just get mine at Sams.
Haha just a tip, get a Costco chicken, airfry it with soy sauce for around 20 mins @ 400 ‘F

my dogs love it, so I will keep buying it for them, to mention is cheap
Best nexted to Albertsons.
Like adding sugar and dextrose to chicken should even even normal, right? Ok. No problem.
MSG was proven that nothing said against it was true but the myths often still remains.
We also love the pizza and for the prize cant beat it.
At first I thought the thumbnail was a picture of a dog(pit), that had a knife on his head.
My husband just bought one and I will say it is flavorless! Only thing it is good for is a spiced up chicken salad or Sandwiche!
I never tried this im from Germany 😂
Pocky Sticks it’s amazing. Best chicken ever!
Best chicken in usa
You shouldn't. If your schedule allows it, get a fresh chicken and roast it at home, I do that quite often. As they mention starting from 5:10, you are more likely to arrive at home with a soggy chicken skin rather than with a crispy one. And I know what's in my chicken, salt, pepper, lime juice, garlic, maybe some chilies and nothing else. None of these 45 ingredients nobody can spell or pronounce.
My dog eat Costco chicken every day I think is so good I I also eat some.
I knew a lady that would buy a rotisserie chicken every few days and dismantle them to give only the white meat to her little terrier. No skin and no dark meat was allowed...
3lbs is just the average for the chickens too. I’ve seen some that are easily over 5lbs each
This is my favorite grilled chicken
You don't mention the bad stuff these birds are fed that make them bigger.
The best next to
I’m gonna eat more chickens 🐓 from Costco after watching this.
Never use the useless microwave, oven and air fryer is key! I threw out my microwave a few years ago , no need
Our birds are the biggest and best price!
Anyone else is getting hungry? *drooling*.
the ones in this video look sweet but we got one from NZ costco and it looked uncooked in the very center, lots of kiwis have posted posts saying they too got a uncooked chicken, costco replied with saying the chickens are all upto cooked temperature and they are fine to eat, but bugger that if it looks uncooked in the bin it goes, not worth the risk, i wont be buying another costco cooked chicken again, everything about costco i love, just let down by the chicken here in New Zealand
I make kale 🥬 bean soup with these.
Did I hear the chicken in genetically modified? And also the label says that. Is that not a red flag to buy
I noticed myself many times after eating Costco chicken: it made me sick, stomach discomfort, constipation compared with meats I got from meat market; I never eat Costco chicken again, overall American food made me sick 😢
What, a $5.00 Costco chicken. Here in Canada they charge $8.00. The same as every other store. Not much saving going on here.
