  • Handmade kitchen/Dining table. We used2 short W8x32 beams to make the main section of the table frame. The bottom and top plates were cut out of a sheet of 3/16" mild steel on our JDSQUARED plasma table along with the triangular support gussets. Once we fabricated the entire table it was cleaned and clear coated using basic aerosol clear from Lowes.
The table top itself is a large piece of sycamore, unfortunately it wasn't wide enough so we had to split it down the middle and add in a small section of black walnut so the table is not about 45" wide and 7' long. We used rubiomonocoat as the finish.

I appreciate that. That was my first large frame and it was for my own home. Just used some drop pieces of beam we had from a structural frame and they worked great. My family sits there every day for breakfast and dinner.

@@MattcoMetalWorks I am a fan of mixing metal with wood. I have built several large dining tables using vintage cast iron machine bases. The shape of your table base has me thinking

@@chrisjmiller6 I agree with that. I've got an idea using an old paper cutter machine that i want to make a table out of. I love the old industrial look

Blake Wood absolutely love it. We went from a 4x4 Torchmate to 5x10 JDsquared and couldn’t be happier. You won’t be disappointed. The tables are built very heavy duty and the customer service is amazing. They are not offering 24/7 yet but I do believe that’s in the works for the near future. That way if you have an issue at night or on a weekend you can get someone on the phone or live chat to help you out

    Great job!
What kind of music is that?

Honestly I think that’s the music that is free on IMovie. I use that for short stuff and I also pay for a service each month to get non copyrighted music. CZcams is strict about that so you have to be careful on music selection.
      Thanks for watching
