Not really... The parts most likely won't be compatible with each other, and a lot of the parts are soldered onto the motherboard anyway
@@horyzengm the parts are most likely off the shelf parts so they might actually fit/work together and the soldered parts aren't hard to desolder them and put them on the board

One small correction regarding the specs. The phone can't have an adreno GPU as that's exclusive to snapdragon chipsets. On a chipset be it snapdragon or mediatek the GPU is integrated so they can't mix them.
This particular mediatek chipset has a Mali-400 MP2 GPU.

This guy is helping me spot fake phones lol. It’s sad how many old people I see at amusement parks that have clearly fake (like, bright blue camera lens, super off colors etc) phones. It’s genuinely surprising yet sad
Well at least if it's stolen the thief gets beaten good these phones are still good to average person
Some people intentionally buy fakes so they don't have to bring out the real one. No problemo if it gets stolen in the public.

The funny thing is that the seal stickers aren't fake, they come in the box with the original phone, this whole box was probably original with a few changes in it's contents

The fact that the fake camera is alwyas blue, if they literally just scribbled on the glass with a black sharpie it'd make it so much more realistic on the fake cameras

Phones have an soc(system on chip) meaning the processor gpu network chip and sometimes even ram is bundled into a single chip so its kinda impossible for a mediatek chip to have an adreno gpu
Yea its also quad core and it has good ol mali 400 which cant do shit with anything past 480p

5:04 It can't have Adreno 650 in it. The Adreno brand belongs to Qualcomm and it is only used in Snapdragon SoCs. 650 is released in 2020 and its pretty powerful GPU. Other manifacturers like Samsung (Exynos) MTK or Huawei uses ARMs Mali GPUs.

That is messed up. No wonder I've been seeing a lot of s23 ultras in Facebook marketplace for a good price. I was thinking about buying one off there but had a weird feeling this time around.

Just bought a S23 on marketplace, sealed for 600$ CAD. Convert it to US $ and i hope you find that deal for a s23 or the too big to handle ultra. Problem is you can't verify in the phone app if the phone is an official because when buying new, you need to configure it all and that takes time
Don't Apple or Samsung ever sue the counterfeiters? You'd think these fakes wouldn't even be able to ship these phones and get them through customs
You can't. In China counterfeiting is legal and these things are usually made in China. Besides there's the price....I mean let's face it who the heck would sell it at that price. I'm watching one which is going for 730 euros and heck everyone is suspicious. No one is selling it for less that 1079 euros and I mean NO ONE.
Samsung China actually invest in Samsung phone counterfeiting firms. If you cant beat 'em join 'em.

I work for the brand as a cellular rep and I love spotting the differences 😅
So the best way to determine if your phone is fake or not is to check out the cameras. I've gone through my Note 20 Ultra's camera modes while covering each camera until the screen is black and it turns out to be genuine. Also, the speed and the flow of the screen would immediately tell you if it's genuine or not.
You can always tell just by looking at the display 😂 they're so bad on the fakes

i feel like the s22 and s23 ultras are as easy as they are to mimic because of the sheer size and weight of the thing, i tun a rigid case with my s22 ultra and my poor pockets are being worn out haha
The companies are using old phone Motherboards and some have sdcard slots and they usually have a replaceable battery and covering the sdcard. Some motherboards still have thair ids/partnumber to identify what it was before
One small correction regarding the kinda square shape at the top microfone 3:43, thats because on the real one, there is a little plastic protection layer

How A mediaetch Cpu paired with a Qualcomm Adreno Gpu it doesnt make any sense. The gpu if the stat is correct its pretty capable.

(FYI, Mediatek's lowend SOC's tend to use PowerVR's offerings, which are actually pretty good tbh.)
I recently brought a clone of an apple watch and outside it's scaringly similar including a legit amoled display. On the inside was another story of course. I think factories in China started to resell whatever components didn't pass QA for their main brand, I think the cheapest parts are easy to smuggle (boxes, screen, device shell and frames), so I bet that generate an IMEI, or repurpose an IMEI from a QA discarded device is probably what's in play here. Heck, I won't be surprised if they fake the IMEI on both stickers and software and sell a bunch of 1000s fake Samsungs with the same but legit IMEI

Buy a HK8PROMAX. Screen refresh rate is better than an actual Apple Watch despite being a clone

3:07 just from this shot right here I can tell it's fake. I have a legit S22U and unless they moved the s-pen slot further towards the back of the phone then this is a pretty big flaw. The s-pen slot (atleast on my S22U) should be centered in between the front and back of the phone, not 1mm from the back of the phone like it is in this shot.

It shouldn't be that hard. When I went to buy mine, I looked around to see if I could get a better price without going through my carrier. The S23 Ultra was all over ebay for $100 - $125. Haha, as soon as I saw that, I just went to my carrier and bought from them. It made me realize that there is no way I would know the difference bwteeen a fake and the real thing.

I had that happened once I was talking to a Chinese manufacturer that makes knock-off goods and bought some knockoff shoes and when they had me buy the shoes they created a listing on AliExpress add random boots that were non-branded just so it wouldn't tip off the site or the company who makes the original shoes that they were selling knockoff shoes.

4:55 This guy runs a CZcams channel and repairs phones for a living and doesn't know that all phone SOC's have integrated GPU's. He says that it's using a garbage mediatek process and a pretty good and recent Qualcomm GPU which is impossible. The phone is obviously listing a fake GPU and is definitely using the integrated graphics on that mediatek chip.

That is amazing that somebody would tool up an entire manufacturing process to make a fake phone with dated components that aren't even the same dimensions as the real phone. Its probably illegal, and you would have to trick somebody to get a decent price for it. I would assume that phone has software that can steal your data or lead to that happening

They make this stuff for next to nothing. Even at a 175 price point, its still enough to make serious money.
