What a great video! You have made an old man very happy here. I am in my 60s and I used to replace the cheap radio in every car I ever owned with an up graded model cause I like my music and I like it to sound as good as possible. My 18 year old son bought that car and I have a garage full of amps, speakers and EQs, everything needed to turn this car into a concert hall. YOU, just made my job a whole lot easier and I thank you. Knowing just how to proceed makes me not only look good, but takes away all the headaches. Ten minutes this video was except for speed-up of screws. Knowledge is power, thank you again for the power boost and God Bless You for making this video.
Followed your video yesterday. Worked brilliantly. Fitted new Aux-In Adapter Cable 3.5mm and was able to run it thru to the cup holder. Now have streaming audio from my phone- So pleased with this. The Air Vent removal I found a little tricky, but with perseverance and a little fortitude I got there. It all went back together perfectly. Excellent demo. Thanks so much.
Thx for the video ...My car was making warm even when it was on 18 deg had to remove that controller, blew all the flint and dust out and now its fine.
Thank you for posting this. Connected jump leads incorrectly and the radio went dead afterwards. After checking fuse 64, I gathered that I'd blown the fuse at the back of the stereo (though I didn't know for sure it was there) I had blown the small 15Amp fuse that is within the large plug at the back of the stereo. There's a leaver to remove the plug which makes changing the fuse easier. With out the vid, I wouldn't of stood a chance figuring out how to get to it, so again Thank you, you're a life saver.
Hey man😇thanks for this video, as I'm changing my radio this weekend, I hope I can do it as easy as you🤣👍I've watched this video at least 5 time, just to make sure I don't screw it up😂
it's basically the same way i take apart anything: 1) so it comes off like this and completely safe to leave it on 2) no wait, it's making a sound 3) on a second thought you should probably switch it off before you take it out 4) you know what, just to be safe turn off the whole car 5) actually, nevermind just disconnect the battery too 6) yeah and if you've already disconnected the battery it doesn't hurt to change the oil and also the brake fluid
Good video bud. I have a similar looking head unit on my 2010 Merc CLC. Its basic though, radio, 6 CD Changer but no AUX port or USB and the Bluetooth only applies to the handsfree. Could the head unit be removed and replaced with say a newer model from a breakers yard?
Awesome video ! I have a question for a head-unit from a C55 AMG 2006 with Navigation... could I use this in a C230 Sport 2007? (plugs are the same ) Do you know if I can connect a video analog input to connect a rear camera.? thanks !
Would you know if I removed my b class 2006 radio and replaced it for a Mercedes bluetooth radio would it work straight away? Would I need to do or get anything else? Thank you.
does w203 without bose have separate lines out for tweeters and speakers or just some highpass filters? and where are those filter in that case? or are they built into the radio
Do you know if command audio 10 or 20, share the same plug as the HU in the video? I'm having difficulty in finding the proper plug for making a custom harness, all I can find around here is for audio 10 or audio 20. Thanks in advance.
Great video, best out there I think. But seriously....? The ignition key was still turned on while he was removing electrical modules? I think most of us would have turned it off and pulled the key out before starting the job.
+Nino Pelaez Its always safer if you do in case a wire gets pinched. But it is not necessary. As long as the key is off when you disconnect/connect anything that is usually good enough for us.
+Enfig "it is always safer" yet "not necessary" ? wrong-- it is always necessary to unplug the battery when working on any electrical systems in vehicles. you can short smallest cable and tiniest connection that is possibly exposed. I can go into detailed write up why I am right but I hope you get my drift.
+mario marichorie Like I said it's safer. If I walked around with a helmet on all day it would almost eliminate any chance of me falling and having a brain injury. You can never be 100% safe. You can also fry a module when you reconnect the battery from the power surge. It happens to OEM VW radios all the time.
Mate I have a question, I have a Mercedes c 220 cdi 2005 and on the radio when I hold press the CDC button it says aux input active, I removed the radio but don't know what to do, should I buy cable or something? How to plug the phone on it thanks
It's in the glove box on the right hand side, if it's not installed, u can buy the harness for about 50 bucks from the dealer. It runs from the side of the glove box, to under the passenger side front door side sill. It's the only connector under there. You have to punch out the pre cut hole in the side of the glove box, and the wire will click into it. Takes about 20 min.
Mercedes radios from this period mostly looked the same. But the shape of the plastic around the front may be different. I'm not sure if they come out the same.
I need your help before I get ripped off if you can help me. My radio power is on, there’s no amp for the car and they’re saying my radio is shot? This is my car, 2005 Mercedes C230 compressor sport sedan. I’m wondering if there’s a connection that’s loose? I’ve checked the fuses and they are fine. I just don’t wanna get screwed by the audio company that’s supposed to put in a new radio in the next couple days and charge me $300. Hope you see this message soon.
Enfig Hi, thanks I did get it replaced but I can’t figure out how to turn it to my liking. Too many things inside the EQ. Guess I’ll ask some young kid show me :-)
Hi everyone.I have 2005 mercedes c230 and there's no air coming towards the windshield, every else is ok except the windshield.I just change the climate control and the problem is still there. Can anyone help me with ideas please. Thank you all.

You're lucky it was just the fuse. It's almost never just he fuse.
I am looking for said fuse, checked all the plugs and none has a fuse in it. Do I have to open up the radio to find said fuse...
exelente video, I liked the way of explanation and made everything easier
Thank you
I found it a tough job but thanks to your video - managed the job - thank you
Glad it helped!

We do not have a CLC here. Email us a picture of the radio. info enfig.com

I''m pretty sure the radio is not Bluetooth. There is a Bluetooth module somewhere and the car has to have the proper wiring.
does w203 without bose have separate lines out for tweeters and speakers or just some highpass filters? and where are those filter in that case? or are they built into the radio
I think some of the early year W203 had speaker outputs for some cars. The bose are always all fiber amp in the trunk.
@@Enfig okey, do you know anythinh about 2007 model? Thanks!

Sorry I do not know the names of the OEM radios. I just know what works with what radio by looking at the face.
Good job man
Thanks

That's a great idea. I'm glad I told you to do that here. czcams.com/video/gXNYunwBg_k/video.html
is not it best to connect a battery pole from so you are 100 sure not an airbag turn out ?
+Joakim Gjerdet You are correct since we are not dealing with an airbag directly it's not necessary in my opinion.
On the c55, Can u change the logo to show AMG on the command display? Tried it, no luck 😑 if so, how?
Sorry no idea.
Thx bro, gratów video, very healpfull

I think Itronic was a rebranded Mobridge. We are up by NYC.
Did you disconnect the battery before installing the new radio?

can i apply piano black sticker vinyls on the center console and radio of this car??
I'm sure someone makes a kit but I do not know of any.
but it IS possible to apply the sticker to every surface right?
I would not apply stickers to the exhaust pipe as they may melt. But besides that I'm pretty sure you can apply stickers to any surface.
Is this a c55 Amg? Looks really nice
Good eye. The C230 Kompressor Sport can get the same center console.
I think it was. I do not remember.
I detected a USB port in the Power Socket in the ash tray 6:22. Are they easy to find and install??
That was just a charger. The dension unit can be installed in there if you wanted.

I would call the dealership. I can probably figure it out if you're local to NJ but I don't know.

If the radio turns on and you have no audio $300 sounds like a pretty cheap price to replace the radio.

That can be any device in the fiber network. That Requires some troubleshooting.
You didn't finish? Lol! Need to know about the fiber optic wire.....
Oh wow we did not even know about this. Thank you for letting me know. Once you pull it out it's a simple unplug.
Was the car complete optic or just to the cd changer ?
So where can I buy this stereo ?
This is a factory radio. We can help you if you want to instal lan aftermarket radio.

I think it was. It was shot a long time ago so I do not remember.
Yes.
It's a C55 AMG.
I can tell from the instrument cluster @ 9:30.

Definitely a C55
