Bob died only 91 days after this interview peacefully in his sleep, he made it to 112. He raised a lot for charity during his final years. What a life he lived, full of life right until the end! may god give us all this right until the end. Very glad this interview exists. RIP Bob

I don't get the part about the Queen. He was almost 20 years older. Not just a decade. And he was already 18 when George VI ascended the throne. It made more sense to asked him about this day, because there was no television and there are still many people that witnessed her coronation. He was ten years old when the great war ended. He ought to have asked about this time. The height of the British empire.

I doubt it. Maybe the oldest man to live that we know of in modern times, but not "ever". I'm sure there were plenty of people in the past that lived over 125, but it was when people didn't take reliable records of such things. It's not like every citizen to have ever lived in the past 10,000 years were issued birth certificates and their lives were chronicled up until their deaths, when there were also official death certificates issued.

Every time a person gets publicly recognised as the ‘oldest person’, they die a few days later. Hopefully that’s not the case with him.
