Imagine being 100 years old, and then going on living for another 22, that's incredible.
To simply sit there half blind and being physical f...d is not what is good living
@@ananas63637that was only the last month of her life. She was fine before
Imagine being 80 and living for another 42 years
She didn’t though! Not true never trust the French!…. But you could say imagine to be 117 years old like the genuine wrinkle faced Japanese woman.
I work in care homes and we have so many centenarians, when I first started working there I was surprised we had so many, on my sector we have at least 10, One was 106 years old, sound mind, lucid and active, she had a stroke at 106 and guess what? She recovered from it so well too. Unfortunately she died of Covid before turning 107. I think we will see more of this in the near future
even if she was a fraud, she's still amazing either way. living to 122 is something, fooling the entire world on the other hand to avoid taxes is something else entirely, and both are amazing accomplishments lol.
I see what you mean lol. I hope one day we can find a clear answer
I think she was 122
@@KingJackson11355 she was definitely 122. You can see in the way she looks in her final years that she is way older than 90 or even 100. There’s proof of her being 1 in 1876 and when you look at old photos of her in the 1890s she shares the same bone structure as the woman we see in the 1990s. Mainly with the nose. She was definitely 122 and I think it’s disrespectful of those who suggest she wasn’t.

I hope Kane takana passes Jeanne’s record!
If she did really live to 122 that’s so cool. Sadly some people don’t believe she was real. So why not test the bodies to see?
They should examine them but it seems like her french validaters do not want that to happen
they validated her age . She had all the correct documents. These sort of investigation isnt taken lightly.
She was genuinely age 122 and she had a very long and I presume filling life.
Google says:this technology is not yet made
@Jack Smith Why is that? She actually felt very well up until the last couple of years I believe. Same goes with Kane Tanaka who lived till 119.
@@KingJackson11355 It is true. Kane started to go downhill when she turned 118. She simply died of old age there isn't really any more she could have done to reach 119. To reach 120 a near perfect lifestyle, diet, strong genes, cells, mitochondria, and organs are required. Jeanne has left the bar very high and may take up to a century for someone to surpass her, (although I think it will be less than that and someone alive now will do it, probably from Japan France, Spain, or Italy.)
Jeanne Calments Daughter was born in 1898 and died in the 1950s. I believe shes 122 in 1997 when she died.
Plus if it was her daughter many people would have had to be in on the scam. And she would have had to have facial surgery because the nose of Jeanne calment and her daughter look nothing alike

For me the only proof I need of Madame’s age is a picture of her in her last year. She just looks next level old. Like a kind of aged that you just don’t see in people 20 to 40 years younger. I don’t mean any offense by this but 120 is not something you see every day and Madame just looks like what that would look like if I imagined it in my head
True. She did look very old the last few years of her life.
Looked like a regular old lady to me; nothing remarkable.
Nah, my great aunt was 99 and she looked like this lady or "next level old". Like almost turning into dust
I work in care homes and some of my patients look like that at 80
And others look so young at 90 or 100. It really depends, I had a 106 years old patient and she was the sweetest most active and good looking of them all
If as they say her daughter Yvonne took over the life on her mother, on Jeanne's death in 1934, due to tax purposes, and since Jeanne's husband was so influential in the little town, that would explain why nobody even questioned it, because how would they have even known anything. The true fraud was therefore in 1965 when she sold her house as a 'viager' (life estate) and supposedly she was already 90 years old and so the buyer thought he might only have to pay the allowance for another 10 years, but in fact, if it was the daughter, she was only 67 years old and lived for another 32 years, so although she died at the old age of 99, nobody would have agreed to pay a 'viager' (life estate) allowance to a 67 year old...
exactly.
I agree!!
Actually, the true fraud is that taxes even exist in the first place. Governments need to leave their people alone and let them do with their own properties as they wish. ..... I am not going to fault this family for avoiding financial rape.
Wouldn’t you think that the notaire who signed the viager would have easily recognised a 90 years old from a 67 years old? 😅😅😅 how can you even think that such a thing is logically possible?
The viager anecdote gives fuller proof that she could not have been Yvonne.
She was alive when Alexander Graham Bell patents the telephone and also lived to see the first Harry Potter book
She’s also seen WW1,WW2, Vietnam. She was in her late 30s when WW1 started. It’s really incredible when you think about it.
No she is not con artist or fraud she really lived (120+ age)
Jiroemon Kimura 116 years old with solid proof, but there are no reason to doubt this one..6 years difference
The fact the she recalls Van Gogh is amazing, any fan of his history will click onto this video and spread it to anyone who’s intellect will recall his name. There’s no need for much research before Van Gogh pops up. Give it 24 hours.
I'd love a documentary on her
NETFLIX could make a 6 parter
At 1:31, her eyes look like mouths. Scared me for a second. Bless her
Lol now it's scaring me thanks
I noticed that too lol
She burned old photos of her.
True but we don’t know the real reason for that. I wish they would test the bodies so we would know the truth
Apparently for the “Facebook coalition” documents can never be faked. They have a blood sample that could easily show if it is the mother or daughter. Jeanne married her second cousin, so Yvonne would have 12 great-great grandparents instead of 16 like Jeanne-and this could be easily determined by homozygosity of the alleles in the sample. But again, the anti-switch side argues that Calment’s validation was so great that no further testing is needed.
@@gregderamo5589 I wish they could just do the test already. I really want to know the truth.
@@KingJackson11355 There is more evidence. When she was asked about who accompanied her to school, she adressed a maid that was revealed to just have been born when Jeanne started going to school
Interesting mental exercise. From an article of the New Yorker: “When Calment was ninety-four, in 1969, her notary bought her apartment. The purchase was made under the French en viager system, in which the buyer agrees to make regular payments on a property that the seller continues to live in. In such an arrangement, the buyer essentially wagers on how quickly the seller will die. The Calment apartment proved to be an epically terrible investment. By the time the notary died, in 1995, he’d spent nearly two hundred thousand dollars, more than twice the value of the place, without ever taking occupancy.”
Let’s suppose Jeanne was actually Yvonne; would her notary had subscribed the viager agreement with a 71 years-old woman? Are you telling me that someone who had known her even for 5 to 10 years prior to that date (hence the expression “her notary” vs. “a notary”) could have mistaken a 71 years old Yvonne for a 94 years old Jeanne? This simple mental exercise is enough to rule out the possibility of the identity theft.
I had heard that her daughter took her place and Jean’s death was concealed. Apparently they sold their residence under a clause that gave her a life estate. So, as ‘long’ as Jean, ‘the mother’ lived, the house was owned by her and was free to keep it.
She "sold" the house in 1965, 31 years after her daughter died. There was no reason, financial or otherwise, for an identity switch in 1934.

I haven't seen any statistics like that. From what I've seen, it's the opposite: a life of leisure, privilege and fewer worries promotes a longer life. Poverty and toiling shorter life.
