As a British guy, who does keep up to date with country music as well, very very very few people will know who Morgan Wallen is in the UK. If they do, they only know 1 song.
Arctic monkeys first album was so raw and grounded, it felt like the rise of oasis again. But then they drastically changed after the second album that it became generic.

Their latest 2 records are also really interesting composition and production wise with a wide range of unusual instruments for indie music and hauntingly beautiful lyrics. A couple songs you might wanna check out to explore:

I was thinking about this the other day: The 2000s is really when rock got divided into “red” and “blue” state rock. I grew up in one of the bluest areas of the country(Bay Area) and in the early part of the 2000s my local rock station played lots of stuff like Godsmack/Staind/Papa Roach/POD etc. Around 2003/04 is when I stopped hearing those bands and started hearing the bands on this tier list. To me the bands on this tier list are PEAK Blue State rock. When I would go visit my family and friends in Fresno and Reno I’d hear a lot more stuff like Breaking Benjamin, 3 Days Grace, A7X, etc on the local rock stations out there. Hardly any of the bands in this vid except for maybe Muse. Anywho do you think because of the Red/blue state rock “divide”, that could be one factor in why Rock has not been as mainstream and popular since 2002? Has anybody else noticed that as well or am I just trippin?
To ad my personal very subjective commentary: I can’t stand the White Stripes. To me they ruined rock radio.I would DEFINITELY take Nickelback and their expanded universe over The White Stripes any day lol.
