We got a liter of the Non-chill filtered at the duty free for $40 Canadian. We blinded them in a video and they were extremely similar, but I did like the non-chill filtered better. Keep up the great content!

Love the blind... I just got a bottle of the Non-Chill Filtered RB and can't wait to try this exact blind. This was not Erin's best day at the office between not liking her favorite bottle and the off the mark Pecan Pie take... but sometimes whiskey just hits your palette weird.
Love the WTRB. was out at Woodmans grocery store recently and saw a new label for the rare breed.

Thanks to you, I became aware of the Rare Breed Non Chill-Filtered. In Germany we are lucky enough to be able to order this easily online and at $60 the price is more than justified. I picked up a bottle for Black Friday 😉 Thanks for the tip and your awesome content.

Rare Breed is my daily sipper. Great price point although was much cheaper few years back. Then again what wasnt.

That non-chill filtering for me changes these pours dramatically. All high-end WT products are NCF. This pour is better then any single barrel Russell's pick but not quite as good as the 13 year. I got two bottles going across to Canada Niagara Falls duty free coming back for $30.76 each

Erin, curious if you like Russell's store picks as much as you like NCF Rare breed?
Josh here. For Erin, usually not, but only because Rare Breed is so well-rounded in comparison to some of the Russell's picks that highlight certain parts of the Turkey profile over the balance that Rare Breed offers. For me, I like how Russell's picks can highlight those various flavors and I don't mind the rougher edges so much.

It's so funny from day to day our taste buds will change. I get on my favorite for a while and then try it later and it's not my favorite it's just really good or sometimes not that good. Then a year later it's really good again. I guess it just depends on the day😂😂
I think Erin did too much laundry before this tasting. Why does WT still make chill filtered RB? The RB rye has always been NCF.
Just bought 3 bottles for 63 dollars per 1L bottle...🙂 Funniest part of it is that I bought it in Czech republic.😂 But not sure if it reappears, once current stock is sold out, so that is why 3... None is opened yet, keep one for Christmas and other 2 guess I will not open for some years.

That just proved that knowing what we are drinking changes the taste of things. I would be willing to bet that if you knew it was RB your taste would have been different. That's why I question people all the time. Do you really like this or that or do you think you are supposed to like it because it is rare and expensive? I say drink what you like even if it is cheap. Fight the FOMO
This channel should be required viewing for anyone into bourbon.
There is some good whisky out there for reasonable prices. Having to work within a pretty tight budget has ensured that I haven't spent time and money on stuff that's expensive and mediocre.
Wild Turkey.....tastings are saturated, we all know it's good, they got it going on.......Ehhh.
