Say what you want about The Rings of Power, but its Middle Earth is breathtakingly beautiful.
Theme: The great deceiver appears. Also, Steven Wilson singing nonsense.
    About the music choice:
Amazon really made us root for the devil, didn't they? Which is also why I chose "Storm Corrosion". Wilson's voice is the devil in disguise and up to this day I cannote tell if I love or hate it. It seems illusive and always lingering, just like Tolkien's Sauron.
The gentle guitar + flute duo accentuates Middle Earth's Grimm-esque beauty quite nicely, don't you think? However, mellow tones forbid heavy action sequences. It was also impossible to use most of the dialogue because of the soundtrack always playing (my apologies, Mr McCreary, I do love all your scores).
    Anywho, enjoy.
PS: RoP's orcs intrigue me. Should I do an edit on Ada, Gothmog and the orcs?

This lined up so well. I really hope we get a kind of villain arc where we can root for Sauron in the 2nd Age before he becomes what we know of from LOTR

The show is great, despite the tortured metaphor of the rock and the ship. Makes total sense to anyone with passing understanding and knowledge of Tolkien’s world.

Good and evil are not as far apart as we think. Good aspirations can turn evil so easily as is the case of Sauron of Tolkien until there is no return except his destruction. An interesting video.

True indeed, sometimes there is no erase button for evil deeds. Though with Tolkien's angelic characters it is not that easy. Sauron can be destroyed but if I remember correctly, his spirit will stay alive until he is forgiven and may take shape once again.

If only the writers of the show made him as antagonistic as your edit. Haha! Then I wouldn’t be routing for Sauron Season 2. 😂

I actually tried hard to stay neutral in the edit. 😅

Wow, Akerfeldt! It's a slow song but the guitar and Wilson's singing are just beautiful.

Being a deceiver, I suppose that in 1:16 that joy was to mislead his surroundings that he is maiar because it is something that Sauron would not do.

Yeah, it's confusing (like many other things) but it was done on purpose, so perhaps it'll all make sense when s2 is out.

you wont be singing praise of sauron once he starts making elves sit on pikes just so they can be used as banners for his army. Starting with one celebrimbor after killing all of his family in front of him
