      - In the article they said that her friend Kenzie was actually there from the start and they actually HAD a few drinks yes (as stated on her Gofundme), her friend was asleep in her swag and was suddenly awoken by strange noises and saw Halie head first in the campfire not moving
      - It is said that Halie fell asleep on her camping chair which had then tipped over and sent her face first into the fire (which was actually burnt down to the coals). Her friend rushed over her and pulled her from the sizzling hot coals and in a mumble she asked her friend what happened and to pour ice cold water over her burnt face to cool it down. Then they drove back to Halie's house and she stuck her face under the shower/Mathew (after being awoken by Kenzie) ran her face under cold running tap water while Kenzie called the emergency. Later, paramedics arrived, injected her sedatives and rushed her to the hospital/ICU
      - She was placed into an eight day coma and stayed two and a half months in hospital and only person for one hour a day could come visit her due to COVID
      - Doctors believe that her pain receptors burnt off so quickly that she couldn't feel anything
Her friend saved her life that day ! I'm glad she's still here to tell her story, she's strong and is a beautiful Phoenix as she likes to call herself 🥰💖

It's actually the opposite. When you get a 3rd/4th degree burn you can't feel it in the aftermath BECAUSE there are no nerves left alive. My boyfriend will complain and complain if he got a small burn or a scab BUT once he got a 3rd degree burn covering his entire foot at work and he was COMPLETELY unable to feel it. I would wash his foot for him and he couldn't feel any of it which was almost convenient. On the areas where he got 2nd and 1st degree burns (lesser burns) he could still feel some burning.

I have nothing but empathy and admiration for this woman. We all know that when it rains it pours. @amity I didn't say she fell asleep. But it is far more likely that a person would be unresponsive to burning hot coals to the face following a drug overdose rather than simply falling asleep. It's one thing to sleep through an alarm when ur exhausted, but I guarantee that if someone dumped ice-cold water on your head you would instantly wake up. That is not always the case when you are unconscious from an overdose because the central nervous system is severely depressed.

    • @choochd
      @choochd Před 2 lety +2

@@user-ui7tn1fq2b Ok. Then you tell me what happened. Saying you simply "fell asleep" in hot coals is not truthful. The shock of the fall alone, then hot coals to the face would be more than enough to wake you instantly. For those who are wondering what "exactly" happened keep reading (but please it is heartbreaking for her so please be compassionate 🥺❤).
After a quick search on Google I read some articles/interviews by her and here's more informations :

He was with her through (what I assume), the worst time in her life. He stayed by her side when she was in the hospital, and having surgery after surgery. He loves and cherishes her for who she is. Her friend saved her life that day ! I'm glad she's still here to tell her story, she's strong and is a beautiful Phoenix as she likes to call herself 🥰💖

Beauty is truly only skin deep, it's what's in your heart that matters. My bro got burned when he was 8, chest, face, arms, &hands. He had the compression suit and multiple surgeries till he was 16 and he made the decision that he was done with the operations. He is now 40 and handsome if I do say so myself. He is a hard worker and loves his boys. Thanks for sharing your story. Prayers for continued success, keep your head up.🙏

She's so beautiful both before and after that tragic accident. I loved that she said the experience made her see herself as a survivor and not as a victim, that's Strength that comes from the LORD! Also that she said she was like a phenix and felt reborn. It sounds like it awakened her spiritually and now her Light shines through brighter than it ever has before.. God bless her for blessing others with inspiration to except ourselves just as we are Today, everyday.

Thank God she's alive and that she's in such a healthy, upbeat spirits, but I can't seem to understand how a person can fall face first into a bonfire and not react to getting away. She just laid there face in fire and her friend pulled her out, thank God for that, but it's just all so strange to me. She was grieving, took some time to be alone, but then felt lonely and calls husband to have a friend come over and an hour before the friend actually shows, she gets the bonfire going, falls asleep and face-plants the bonfire?!! Again, thank God she's ok but it's just strange!! BUT I'LL TAKE THE STRANGE AND ALL, BEING THAT SHES ALIVE AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS AT THE END.

Deep depression can make you really low energy. I had dizzy spells all the time when I was at a very low point despite having a blood test to say things were fine. Collapsing in the street and everything. Maybe she fainted into the fire? It would make more sense than her falling asleep and not waking up despite being on fire.

Your body would wake up from your face being melted off. She had a miscarriage and went to a bonfire, bonfires include alcohol and sometimes drugs, she was probably drunk.

@Woke 999 I don't think it was alcohol, drugs would make sense. She could have overdosed and regretted it, so she called her husband. It makes more sense than her just 'falling asleep' and would also make her too sickly to get up.

That’s the thing, she’d wake up real fast from something like that, unless something in her system highly prevented it. Highly, like anesthesia-grade. Hopefully an anesthesiologist can shed some light here. And if she were to have spent minutes with her head in the fire, wouldn’t she have lost her eyes?

For people saying they don't believe her story and asking why is it that she would just lay there face down in a fire... Have you ever laid face first in a fire yourself? When your body is in immense pain it can go into something called shock and you can pass out from too much pain. I got hot oil in my eye while cooking and I remember not being able to talk or move. I would probably not be able to move if my face was in a fire if I had to guess. Thank God she got rescued and is still here! What a beautiful Angel! She is stronger then me that's for sure.

Why do I feel like her friend & husband pushed her into the fire? Something about her husband saying "i had to get my head around the fact that she was still alive, let's DEAL with it!?" He left her after the accident to go change his clothes before getting help? What? 😳
Maybe I've watched too many murder stories but damn. None of this story makes sense and I definitely wouldn't be telling it on camera even if it was true.

"We did what we could. We both ended up going into shock. I had to ask her to step in and go OUTSIDE because I was feeling nauseous. " Then he starts talking about wrapping his head around the fact that she's still alive......How long did they wait to call for help? My word.

He's talking about when they were at the hospital. If it was while they were at the fire he'd already have been outside. He just had to take a break while they were at the hospital.
he's saying 'she's alive, lets deal with it' he's talking about the fact that he has to remember that the burns are terrible, but that she is still alive and that's the miracle and that they can deal with the burns and what comes with it. Nothing about what he said in any way makes me think he did anything to her.

This isn't Netflix. He was in shock. He's meaning he had to get his head around it all as their whole lives have changed, his wife was severely burned & in the hospital. he would have seen her at the worst of her injuries which they barely showed before her operations, of course that will shock someone to their core, he's saying he has to push all that aside and focus on the fact that she's still alive - a positive. He's looking at it - glass half full - his wife is severely burned, but she isn't dead. She's still here and that's what matters.

these are real people who have gone through several tragedies in 2020 alone- not some soap opera or crime show to analyze. please have some respect. Also I'm not sure if you've been in shock when witnessing a life/death scenario, but if you have youd know that its normal to react that way and at the same time there are no set 'right' ways to react because youre running on adrenaline and/or in shock in the moment. i have personal experience with it. please do not assume to know what the 'normal' way to behave in any emergency scenario would be. there is no right way, and its disrespectful + survivor blaming
