That's why I'm not diggin it... Nobody can recreate Scott Weilands stage moves.. He's unique like Jagger when it comes to his stage prowess... This guy. although I give him credit, he just doesn't do it for me.. Maybe if he ditched the Scott Weiland costume and slicked back dyed hair, he'd have more credibility with me.. But again, I give the guy credit for trying his best... it ain't easy to fill the "worn-thin" walkin' shoes of a Legend!✌️
I saw them four years ago with my good friend. Both of us are huge. Stone Temple Pilots fans were blown away at the performance tomorrow I will see them in Traverse City with my sister, and I am just beyond excited very happy. They have continued with their music after Scott’s tragic loss. No one could ever replace Scott, but Jeff does one hell of a job.

Man, Jeff is killing it. There is no vocalist I miss more than Scott (okay I love Layne), but man the band is tight in 2024 because the DeLeo's are genius, and Eric Kretz is still a power house on the drums (and woefully underrated). If you haven't seen Robert's Rick Beato interview, go watch it.

My coworker & I had just finished up a job in L.A. & had heard that STP still had some tickets for their upcoming show available the week Scott went D.O.A……. I was kinda bummed that morning when the local radio broke the news he was no more & the show was unexpectedly cancelled . I honestly had no idea they are back with this new guy & are out playing live again . Cool . Maybe I’ll get to see this second incarnation play sometime live , other than here on CZcams

I'll give AIC this though, they do push the new originals with DuVall live alot harder than STP pushes new originals. They actually try to regularly establish that stuff as its own thing at concerts a lot more than STP does; thusly feeling they don't want just a legacy tag. Just my opinion.
Jeff has been absolutely crushing it in this band....buuut i wouldn't mind seeing them busting out some deeper cuts once n a while. will always love them and they still sound fantastic. RIP Scott

Tired of everyone thinking Jeff is trying to take Scott’s place. Sadly and unfortunately we don’t have Scott anymore, and Jeff acknowledges Scott’s memory quite a bit. I even heard he won’t sing a lot of the songs through a megaphone, because that was Scott’s thing and he wants to keep it that way. With all that being said, this guy is good and I think is the best lead for STP since Scott.
I understand people saying the singer should just be himself but if he didnt sound anything like Scott people would have a problem as well! So he should just look like himself and act like himself but sing in a similar style like the man we all miss

Well boys, you've got your little corporate gig going on now, playing in the blazing sun on the lunchtime slot with a singer who didn't even win an X Factor TV show contest.

They could have periodically played with Scott when he was well at Arena size and made great albums (they've never made a bad album with Scott) or they could be playing 4 band bills in clubs, small theatres, and playing at 2pm in the afternoons at county fairs with no credible singer to make albums with. They chose the latter.
Jeff Gutt is a seasoned veteran, he was in a nu metal group called dry cell that had some success and was also on X Factor, it's not like he was a nobody. Scott Weiland was a vocal chameleon as well as Jeff Gutt, as far as him doing his moves, that may be the band telling him to do that, they have very similar voices though
STP was one of my favorite bands when Scott was part of it, when they reformed with the new guy it was obvious that it would be more of a cover band type thing which is ok. BUT if they wanted to really put on a show then they need to ditch the 14 over played songs they endlessly repeat, and go with all the wonderful deep tracks in their catalog! If Jeff is unable to sing those more obscure tracks then get someone who fucking can! is not rocket science and this band has so much more to offer than a boring greatest hits only format.

Ozzy and Bruce Dickinson are the ones who are super speciated , sort of . .Rhianna has a distinct voice that islanders could pull off, Madonna, or Phil Anselmo etc . .Eddie Vedder is kind of distinct , seems the very short types are the ones wider diaphragms a lil or something . .weird nose voice. .in maiden guy etc.

I find it hard to take Jeff seriously! He def needs to be himself more and not try so hard to be a Weiland clone, in which he does very poorly… Weiland was one of a kind with his stage presence! Just be yourself Jeff!

I was supposed to see them with this singer. I gave my ticket to a friend. I decided not to go because I felt like STP had a Scott Weiland tribute act for a singer. I have no problem with him sounding like Scott. I don't like how he's copying Scott.

Ahhh. I would probably be a lil Brian Johnson to lankier bon as wider, but if I can probably sing a lot of these songs, there's people who can do it. . Ozzy and Bruce Dickinson are the ones who are super speciated , sort of . .Rhianna has a distinct voice that islanders could pull off, Madonna, or Phil Anselmo etc . .Eddie Vedder is kind of distinct , seems the very short types are the ones wider diaphragms a lil or something . .weird nose voice. .in maiden guy etc.

Whoa I like him. It’s like he mixed in some of Scots moves with his own vibe here and there but he doesn’t look like he’s actually trying to cop Scot as much as he’s trying to pay tribute to his style. Maybe I’m speaking too soon
