I like that The Crumbling Tower of Pizza has two ghosts from Pizza Scare, both because it means every enemy is present in the final level and because it shows that even the dead are powerless before FREE GUN!
to think such a wacky game would have such a spectacular finale? Also, they totally got the rights to that chicken. i dont think theyre allowed to make the game cost money if they didnt. Now, ONTO THE POSTGAME!
The Pizza Tower creator (McPig) just straight up asked the creator of Mort the Chicken for a cameo in Pizza Tower and he said yes. Yep, it was that easy. Wish it was like that for other licenses.
So, as to what i've seen, there's little theory that pizzahead decided to destroy peppino's pizzeria because his pizzeria went bankrupt (look at the posters in the level "Don't make a sound")
I've seen a parallel being drawn on like Pizza Head being super corporate and no passion. Going all in on the mascots and marketing while the food is pretty bad. And in opposition, Peppino is pure passion, a small humble pizzeria with probably really good pizzas. It's also shy Pizza Head seems to be relaxed all the time, he treats everything as a joke while barely ever showing any concern, which is why he got defeated. Peppino here is the embodiment of taking things seriously, having anxiety around every corner you could argue he takes things a little TOO seriously but it's what allowed him to beat the shit out of Pizza Head and even climb this tower in the first place.
this doesn't really have to do anything within the video really, but I just want to mention all of the floor's old names (that was used around the time of the eggplant build) before they were changed floor one tower lobby was tower realm floor two western district was cosmic west floor three vacation resort was no vacation cruise floor four slum was the 21st century empire and floor five staff only was terror nation
It was great to follow your gameplay of Pizza tower from the start, hope to see you again if they add some DLC or who knows a sequel? also I highly recommend you to try P rank some of the levels, and in the future try wario land, specially Wario Land 4
I love how you also feel with peppino, you're mad at this man.. this PIZZA, this face, this PIZZA FACE for all those 5 years of development and him torturing peppino for.. 3 years? also the noid is the noise you said that during the escape pizzahead [the dude who was controlling pizzaface] is an evolved pizzaboy yes, that is mort the chicken, they got licenses to use him cuz they asked "yo can i use your chicken mascot?" and they said "sure go ahead" wrong video to say this but those weren't fake peppinos in the WAR level, they were peppino clones. [yes, actually called peppino clone.] btw the true ending is unlocked if you get all tower secret treasures.
The only two non-positive things I can say about this game are: I wish the final boss was much harder. A thematic power trip in which you plow through everything is cool and cathartic the first time, but I've seen scenarios like that enough that it's a well worn trope for me that I don't prefer over a more typical final fight that's meant to be very challenging. The sick dynamic music does make up for it somewhat, but it also makes me wish the fight matched its intensity with difficulty. With all the collectibles in this game, I was hoping they'd amount to at least some post game content. I think getting all the secrets unlocks a music only sound test, the $50 left after paying for all the boss gates just gets you an outfit, and other comments explained what getting all the treasures does, but as I'm implying, it's nothing like what I'd hope for. I think a true final level could have been really cool, and the reason I like optional stuff like that, is that you can really go wild with it, since you don't expect most people to get to it in the first place. Klonoa had one of those in Balue's Tower and I think that's a great example of the kinda thing I'm talking about. In both cases, I think I'm just greedy, wanting to enjoy the game even more than I already do, but I wanna make my points none the less. I look forward to the second and third(?) laps of this playthrough, so to speak.
A really really super duper damn tough secret final level is one of my favorite video game things. It's sad this game doesn't have that. There will almost certainly be DLC though, maybe they'll do something like A Hat in Time and make it really tough?
@@Jelmerlicious To be fair, this game is built with speedunning in mind, and the game actively rewards you for trying to race for S Ranks and perfect runs if you really wanna push yourself in this game. By the way if you see anyone playing this game with a Purple Peppino outfit they are a Pizza Tower GOD.
well the final boss wasn't hard because it relied on peppino going mad and i think that makes it better. Peppino goes insane so it's obvious the boss rush is a breeze. they also made it easy because if you died later in the boss you'd have to go through the longest boss in the game again
@@lightningfinger 1 - I get it, Peppino is very angry so he plows through everything and even the first and second form of the fight are probably fairly easy for that reason. I already implied in my first comment here that I get it, but that it doesn't compel me. 2 - There would be nothing wrong with the final boss being an endurance fight with high stakes like that. Right now it's so easy that the length doesn't even come across to me, because I beat it on my first try, as Jelmer did too, as opposed to the previous bosses that took at least a couple attempts each. With that said, I enjoy I Wanna be the Guy fangames, so maybe I just have different standards here.

Fun fact: If you didn't kill Snotty he would also join you in the final escape

Amazing job, you're awesome! Also, get all the secret treasures with Gerome and something may change in the ending ;)

That's a pretty good point too
It's not even a power up or some power of friendship, peppino's just fucking PISSED
Even the pause menu during the final battle was aware of your sneeze break to give you angels to "Bless you" XD
It's been an honor watching ya gameplay, it's amazing on how much you improve, but as of right now, congrats completing this game lad
Hey you should get all the treasures for the secret ending

Peppino Fact: This truly was the Pizza Tower...
Watch the TV in that footage where you hurt Peppino a ton
8:45 that sounds like the most fake sneeze of all time lmao
It was a real sneeze I assure you
