At his worst for Wolfsburg he was Decent. He was good for Le Mans, São Paulo and Goias. If he stayed in Europe he would’ve been known as a decent striker in a bracket with someone like Stefan Kießling. He left Europe for Saudi Arabia to “Prepare his family for life after football” on wages of over £100,000 a week. Left for Qatar after his contract was over, then joined Santa Cruz in Brazil after a season where had a scoring rate of a goal every other game. He now works as a pundit on Brazilian TV

    1. He wants to expand his JLingz business to Asia
    2. I believe he owns an esports team and wants to expand/know more about the business. In that regard Korea is the perfect place for him

Not every league has gobs of money to throw at foreign mercenaries looking for a fat paycheck. The K-league depends primariliy on korean players by design, there aren't many foreign players in the league. When they do recruit foreign players they scout for overlooked talent in places like Brazil, not players already earning high wages in England. The level of K-league isn't that low, probably higher than a lot of lower european leagues, comparable to the championship maybe a bit lower. Most of the notable Korean players playing in foreign leagues have their start in the K-league, Kim Min Jae notably played the first few professional seasons of his career in the K-league.

I'm a South Korean. And it upsets me when you write that Lingard is joining a bizarre club in the world. You probably don't know the level of the Asian League. And the K League is a league that can't be compared to the j-League and the saudi league in Asia, and it might seem insignificant, but it's a league that consistently participates in the Asian Champions League, and I think its performance is not bad, and it's not a league that I think can be ignored. My conclusion is that the quality of players can be much better than the quality and level you imagine regardless of their salary. And your words can be hurtful and sad to ignore someone. And until right before Lingard signed, the reactions were, "Why here?? Is it fake news?? Did you mistake your weekly and salary?" Please don't denigrate me anyway, or because the league is not famous. Please respect me. And open your eyes as big and wide as possible and look at the world. This is probably called open mind. The world is wide and round :-) I'm sorry for making you talk too much. Hehe😅

Lingard is another could have been player! He declined West Ham for Forrest because he felt they did not fight hard enough for him! Such a shame!

      For me as Asian :
J-League = Bundesliga without bayern , dortmund, & RB Salzburg
      K-League : Scottish premiership / Championship
Australia : Scottish premiership without old firm/league One
Thailand & china : league One low table / league Two Top table.
China not really spend money anymore for Player. Currently Only Oscar, fellaini & Kevin Muscat.

If it’s good for him and his lifestyle, if he’s happy with it, if it can help him clear his mind and find passion with Football again, if it lessened the burden on him, then it’s a good move for him.
It’s his life and his decision and no matter what he do, Internet Randos will make anything as an issue anyway.
If he sign for Newcastle or PSG with with massive wages, people will say he just love that oil money.
If he sign for MLS, people will say why sign for a farmer’s league.
If he sign for a bottom of the table team, people would still grill him for any trivial reason such as wasting his talent.
He signed for Seoul FC, got low wages by far compared to if he sign for Newcastle, yet people still grill him for killing his career.
Anything for the content and adsense, right?

FYI Lucky Goldstar is the old name of LG (LG group) and so if you want to say that it's weird you can bring that up with them, lol.
Oh wait, I don't know if you have the guts to talk smack with a multi-million dollar business about their name (or their former name).
