    This question may be somewhat rudimentary but is there a way to determine previous milage by date from the ECU data?

      I don't think it stores a history of mileage.

    Are there "always on" OBD scanners? Any idea if anyone collects OBD telematics for consumer vehicles at a larger scale? I wonder if OBD telematics could be used to identify risk factors for vehicle health

    This tutorial is really great. But would have understood better if you would have explained the code section by taking a bit more time. There would have been a lot of learning.

    How to detect data for break applied
    0C for RPM
    0D for speed
    Which is for break ?

      I haven't seen brake position as one of the standard PIDs. The online forums mention that it may be part of the BCM network: www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c6-scan-and-tune/3478452-obd-pid-for-brake-pedal-position.html
