I'm embarrassed, I could only tell jisung, jeno and jaemin, everyone else I couldn't figure it out...so thanks, Im shocked I couldn't pick out Mark, I basically guessed since he was center at the end but otherwise...I didn't get his aura from the dance...and I'm not an new neo...oh well
@@harvestmoon_autumnsky nahhh that's understandable. they're literally covered up top to bottom, if i see them outside like this, chances are i wouldn't recognize them too 😅 i know them since this IS a dream video + their aura, body proportion, fashion style... (it's not entirely a good thing that i know about everything since it signals that i watch them too much hahahaha)
@@mong0825 I can tell some of them by body proportion. But really only 2. Jisung because of his height and Jeno because of his athletic build. But it took me 4 times watching this to figure out the other 5 members. I only figured Mark by a little bit of his hair showing. Before I noticed the hair I mistook Renjun for Mark. All of them went hard on the choreography. Sometimes Renjun and Jaemin have softer moves but today everyone's attacking the choreo

Didn't expect Chenle to be so so good. Its nice that they cover their faces with hat and mask. That thing is for us to guess. I guess they really have trademarks in the way they move 💚💚💚
Jisung is beyond amazing and I'm sad we don't talk about it more. As a dancer myself, I sometimes think he's too overqualified to be an idol dancer. Like, he makes such things so easy so it's understandable when some people don't appreciate the small details behind his technique but still... His dancing is so precise and clean, his dynamics and isolations are so distinct and he adds his own flavor to the movements which makes him a mesmerizing performer. Jisung is truly meant to be on stage; to be a performer and I hope more people will appreciate his talent and hardwork 🤍
Thiss!!! sometimes when they “correct” him for his moves, he isn’t actually doing it wrong, he just have such strong foundation in a certain dance style (popping) that he adds some color to the choreography. In a real dance world it is one hell of a good thing, it’s what makes a dancer unique and stand out from the crowd but alas idol dancing water down his ability and uniqueness a lot.
Hopefully he’ll do more stuff outside of group activities and shows more of his dancing, he has such good control and isolation for someone so young
@@hombre6604 That's why I can't understand Dreamies correcting him sometimes because I feel like he restricts himself so much because of it. After all he was more into freestyle during his rookie days and that's why he has his style and flavor. Makes him different from others in the industry. Not to mention him calling nct choreos too easy for him. Anyway, I hope he is just happy because dancing is what he loves the most.
@@hombre6604 I think all the Dreamies do a great job of looking cohesive even though they all have a very distinct flavour to their individual styles. I have noticed NCT in general allows for greater individuality in their dance style than other groups that value "in sync" or precision more. Jisung's personal style is especially deep in his bones as he has been training for so long. But I can pick everyone of them out in a performance, masks or no masks, because they all move differently.
But any dance crew, idols or not, make adjustments to their individual style when working with their group. This goes on a spectrum from the classical dance world where ballet dancers prize exactness to more loose styles like street of course. But even professional street dance crews drill over and over to make sure their group dances are exactly together. And then freestyle battles are a totally different ballgame. There isn't a "right or wrong" way to approach precision, it's a question of making artistic choices for the piece or group that you are working with.
Idol dancing (and there are many different approaches to it in the kpop industry) certainly stresses certain skills at the expense of others or makes certain choices but then so does every dance style or genre.
Jisung is a monster though; we saw it even more in Dancing High and I'm sure we'll see again more as time goes on. He has a long career ahead of him (he's only 20!)

Because clearly Jisung was in popping dance crew as a kid so of course he was dancing with other popping dancers but being an idol dancer still restricts him because he obviously can't go overboard with his technique or moves' textures. He obviously needs to adjust himself and that's why his dancing is still so different yet mesmerizing. The fact that he is the only active popping-centric dancer in the industry right now doesn't help because people in the industry will go yeah, popping and locking, whatever, completely ignoring the history behind those styles and simply choosing to stick with group dancing and synchronization which isn't always the case for being a good dancer.
The fact that Jisung can do both is impressive.
@@rebeckaroy6790 I fully agree on making adjustments for group dancing on a right proportion. The only thing i’m expressing is his group dance style is so much different than his own style that often times when they’re asking him to correct his moves, it is erasing his dancer identity. Which is quite disappointing because in my opinion they could’ve allow for some more freedom for him to show uniqueness since he is a main dancer, nothing too much, just enough to let his color shine through.
One group i say do well on this aspect is Exo. Kai has a contemporary background, and you can see it shine well on his moves and rhytm. Where he is allowed to be in a center and still has his own color.

i can’t stop replaying jenos dance break bc it so satisfying to watch holyyy this man is dangerously cool and the song during his part too!
I love how they started out with a Jisung solo (always love to see his solo style) and then progressed through each solo or pairing before coming together. The contrast between sharp and fluid, slow and fast.... they all killed it, it went by too quickly! And then of course the descent into silliness once Beatbox came on (Jaemin just chilling in the middle while everyone, including the camera, goes off around him had me laughing soooo hard, so Jaemin.
Each of them has such a distinct way of moving and it's so cool to see. I wonder how much of the solos were done/suggested by themselves or how the partnership with the choreographers worked developing it.... Huge thanks to Prepix Ill and the choreographers for this stage, that was so fun xx
