I don't think many Michiganders really understand what is at stake. Many innocent lives, to start! Jesus said certain demons can only be rid through prayer and fasting, combined. I too love Fr Mawdesley but why does he not bow his head when he mentions the Holy name of Jesus. I have noticed that this is not done by anyone these days by priests nor the laity. I was raised in the Roman Catholic church in the 1950s and it was drummed into me by the priests and my teachers that we must bow our heads when we hear or speak the Holy name of Jesus. It is so sad that this tradition is no more. I still bow my head whenever I say or hear the Holy name. It is second nature to me. To bow our heads is to show respect and reverence to the Holy name of our Lord Jesus Christ.🙏🏽

I thought it was Christ who we worship, not "Tradition."
We do worship Christ!! However, we as Catholics believe our church developed through 3 means, sacred scripture, sacred Tradition and the magisterium (teaching authority) of the Church. We do not believe, as Luther did, that Scripture alone was our source of Truth.
2Thes.2:15 Therefore, BROTHERS, stand firm and cling to the TRADITIONS you have been taught, whether by WORD or OUR letter...there are MANY more references. For the first 400 years, EVERYTHING was taught by Holy Tradition. Jesus Christ is First, Second is his ONE and ONLY CATHOLIC CHURCH, Third is Holy Tradition and Fourth is the Bible which the Catholic Church assembled...AND, IT WAS THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THAT DECIDED WHICH WRITINGS, LETTERS, EPISTLES AND GOSPELS WERE AUTHENTIC, INSPIRED AND IN WHAT ORDER THEY WOULD BE IN THE BIBLE!.....FACTS!

Here is the order in which to believe: FIRST and foremost, Jesus Christ. SECOND, His one and ONLY Catholic Church, THIRD, Holy Tradition, AND FOURTH, The Bible...Which by the way, was put together by NONE other than the Catholic Church...FACT! Mk.16:15; "Go out and preach the Gospel", Jesus WAS NOT handing out Bibles! Jn.20:30, 21:25; NOT everything was written! 2Thes.2:15; Therefore, Brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the TRADITIONS that you were taught, either by an ORAL Statement or by a LETTER of ours....2Tim2:2 and many others!
Zachary Holler. Tradition preceded the Bible which were then preserved, studied, revealed, clarified by the Magisterium. The Catholic Church instituted by Christ for the salvation of all souls, truly the intended to be one world religion, is metaphorically a stool held in place by three legs to keep it solid-Tradition (what we learned from revelation and Christ’s teaching during his three last years 9n earth); the Bible, and the Magisterium. We worship Christ due to Tradition that He personally established.which was recorded in the Bible and the Magisterium with deep knowledge, understanding and willingness to confirm Truth.
