We renew our minds by SATURATING them with the Scriptures. That's what WE are called to do. THEN the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds. The Holy Spirit has to have something to work with.
At 6:40 minutes in, Alistair makes the same point --- the Holy Spirit comforts us through the Scriptures and never in isolation from the Scriptures.
Surrender is key. Surrender it all to Him.

I am from Trinidad and Tobago and have been mightily blessed by the truthforlife ministry.
Without the Holy Spirit I would still be lost. I grew up in a church but never accepted Christianity. But Holy Spirit answered my questions and was my best friend as a new Christian.

The Holy Spirit ~ the Spirit of TRUTH kept urging me to stop, repent of the sexual sin that I was involved in, for about two years. If I had died, I would have died in my sin & went to hell. I thank Him daily for not turning His back on me & for saving me. 👑
That was over 12 years ago & I haven't looked back.

God walked in the garden with Adam, Jesus became a man, but the Holy Spirit was never seen in a human animated form, which is why I think people, even Christians, tend to view Him as a force or mystical being instead of a person. Your discussion gave clarity to the Holy Spirit’s personhood. Thank you much!!!

I feel I have grieved the Holy Spirit. Where I once felt His daily companionship, the feeling has turned to a fading absence.
I’m so in desperate need TO BE filled with the Holy Spirit’s presence.

Did you forget what the Word of God says? Confess your sin, and He will forgive you. How can you be lost if you were found? You don't believe He'll keep you? He said He wouldn't lose even one. This could be just a test to see if you will stand on the Word of God, and you are not. Get back to the Word of God, and believe what you read. WE ARE BLESSED! We are being transformed into His image! Don't just read the Word, meditate on it till you believe it. Trust me, He loves you more than you love Him. He knows whether or not you love Him. You don't have to tell Him. If you love Him, believe Him. With love, Sandy

Jesus, hear my prayers these past three years have been difficult on me I am weak. Give me guidance. Please come back soon I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. As a single parent things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and my hours to work are limited because I’m now homeschooling them. I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. I suffered an heart attack and I’m battling lupus I’m overwhelmed. Lord heal me. Father God hear my prayers. I constantly struggle to pay my bills and struggle to provide groceries. BUT I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Jesus please take the fear from my heart. Father God it is you that gives me the strength to keep going. I praise you Father even as I fear homelessness please continue to give me strength.

Maybe, DTT, you’re expecting something that this brief interview was not intending to address. For instance, the lead question was about misconceptions people have about the Holy Spirit, not, “What are the five best ways to get the Holy Spirit active in your life?” or something like that. There were many things about the Spirit that were not said in this much-too-short conversation.
Hey Jonny! I haven’t been able to find any sermons about this, but how do I stop being a pushover in a Godly way? I feel like a lot of guys my age become pushovers and think that the only way to counter that is by unleashing a macho man rage every once and a while, but I know this isn’t scriptural or honoring to God. Is there any one you suggest watching or anything? I know since I’m gen z I really haven’t grown up in a time where thick skin was necessary, and so don’t have any when it comes to other guys being more dominant. Is this a self-centered problem? I would really like to know. Thank you

Learn how to say no! Especially when you know you don’t want to acquiesce to just anyone’s demands on you and or your time etc… It’s not biblical to thinly spread yourself around all the time. But don’t forget, you can do this while not being abrasive. This is for the benefit of your mental health and so on. I do hope this helps.
The Holy Spirit is the third divine Person of the Blessed Trinity, the personal love of the Father and the Son for each other. Also called the Paraclete (Advocate) and Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit is at work with the Father and the Son from the beginning to the completion of the divine plan for our salvation.
The divine Persons are distinct from one another in their relations of origin. It is the Father who generates, the Son who is begotten and the Holy Spirit who proceeds.
So Michael is chopped liver?
Gabriel doesn't exist?
Lucifer never happened?
Ministering spirits don't exist?
God, is a FAMILY of holy spirits, or the Bible would say he is a trinity. It doesn't. Ephesians 3:15.
The term "God" is used 4, 473 times in Scripture. It is never used to refer to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 4,473 times, "God" refers to the Father and/or the Son. (Gen 1:1, Joh 1:1) Not once out of 4,473 times, does "God" refer to the Holy Spirit. Jesus; Son of God represents the Father to us; ‘God with us’. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Jesus is possessed by the Father. Jesus is filled with the fullness of the Father’s Spirit. Proverbs 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. Matthew 12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him… Like the Father, Jesus Son of God IS a Divine Spirit. John 4:24 God is a Spirit… 2Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit… 1Cor15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam (Jesus) was made a quickening spirit. The Father and the Son do not HAVE ‘a Spirit’. The Father and the Son ARE Spirit; One Spirit. “God IS A Spirit.” God does not BELONG to the Spirit. God the Father, and Jesus the Son are NOT “of the Spirit”. The Spirit is “of God”. We do NOT have 'our own' spirit. Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you…Our spirit is God’s; our spirit (breath) belongs to God. 1Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
There is ONLY One Spirit; God's. There is NOT 1 Spirit of the Father, 1 Spirit of the Son, and 1 Holy Spirit (3 Spirits).
Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit… 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
In the entire Bible, not one human being ever once talks to the Spirit - ever. Jesus the Son never even once talks to the Spirit.
God the Father never, ever talks to the Spirit - not once. From Genesis to Revelation, the Spirit never says a word to the Father; and the Spirit never, ever says a word to the Son; not one. In the entire Bible, there is not one word ever directed to the Spirit. In the entire Bible, there is absolutely no love toward, and no worship of the Spirit - ever. Why?
Jesus IS the Truth. John 14:6 Jesus saith…, I am … the Truth… The Spirit “of Truth” (the Comforter; the Holy Spirit) - IS the Spirit of Jesus. John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter (G3875), that He may abide with you for ever; 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. G3875 advocate: paraklētos An intercessor, consoler: comforter. John 2:1 …we have an advocate (G3875) with the Father, Jesus Christ… Jesus, speaking of the Comforter uses “He” / “I” interchangeably. The Holy Spirit is Jesus the Word; the Truth; the Breath; the Life of Father God. John 20:22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the holy Spirit. John 6:63 It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life. …in Spirit (sincerity) and in truth (Joshua 24:14)
How many separate, autonomous personal beings are the image; the likeness of God? Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness... 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. The image and likeness of God is 2 separate persons with one matrimonial, harmonious spirit. 2 beings, Adam & Eve were one in Spirit. Gen 2:23-24: And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man…they shall be one flesh. 1Cor 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
How many separate, autonomous Divine-Spirit Beings are there? John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Father and Son are 2 separate Beings; one Divine harmonious (Holy) Spirit. There are only 2 separate, autonomous Divine-Spirit Beings. The Spirit of God is NOT God Consciousness #3.
You could have simply said, God is a family of holy spirits. Ephesians 3:15.
According to the vast majority of professing Christianity, Gabriel, Michael, a host of ministering spirits, and even a former family member, don't exist.
They call it a trinity.

This title makes no sense to me. No one makes a video, "the role of the Father" or "the roll of Jesus". Somehow this relegates God to a set of boxes. Is this how yiu attempt to make sense of the God head?
God ... The role of other holy spirits. Family.
God is a FAMILY of holy spirits. It took an immortal holy spirit, to tell Mary she would be visited by another holy spirit, called the holy spirit. Ephesians 3:15.
The multi spirit word of God, is too big for a trinity.

Word salad. What a disappointment. I'd really love to hear something practical, valuable and substantive in reference to the Holy Spirit in our life. This was 11 minutes of nothing but empty, flowery language.

Sure Alistair points about that the Holy Spirit is person. The 3rd person of the Trinity. Not an “it”. Having correct theology when it comes to the Trinity is paramount and a necessary. I’ve literally had Christians believe the Holy Ghost was Jesus’ ghost after the crucifixion. Alistair’s method may not be your style, but I have no issue finding substance here.
@@alfonsoobando3616 is there anything practical whatsoever in this content? Anything that will actually be helpful in DOING something to “be filled with the Spirit”? If the Holy Spirit is the “gift of God”, how can I receive and interact with the Spirit today, right now, in a tangible way? There is literally nothing I can take away from Begg’s input that has any substance whatsoever. It’s all wispy. I try to grab something- anything!- and it disappears in my hands.
How can you interact with the Spirit now? Etc. Through the Word. Read it, believe it, obey it, apply it. Why do we tend to look to "things" outside of His Word? The sufficiency of Scripture
