How did the spare tire upfront change the tongue weight?

Basically by the weight of the tire and rim. As we carry our screen room, chairs and a few other things in the very back of the trailer it is a close offset from the stock trailer weight. Note we also don’t have the tongue box up front and all the stuff inside that goes along with that. This is also a good way to counter balance if you plan on carrying a few bikes on the rear.

I guess you could say the weight of the wheel but it is not noticeable. Keep in mind we don’t have the front storage box full of stuff.

You would have to contact Escape Trailer Industries to get the final word on that but I have not heard this is an upcoming model change.
