- Today's daily update video from South Africa is from 4 May 2024. In this video, we start at the SAAF airshow at Zwartkops Airfield, South Africa, which saw a display of jets and fire works infront of the crowd. Then, we watch the sunrise at Wolvekraal guest farm in Prince Albert, in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. We hiked to the waterfall in the Krantzkloof nature reserve, and then we watched elephants in the Kruger National Park. We attend the Vryheid vintage car show. Drive on a harley davidson on Clarence Drive past Bettys Bay. Catch fish on Myoli Beach in Sedgefield. Sunset over False Bay, we visited several more places across South Africa.

The first time I saw the Karoo 1974 it looked like this. Sheets of water everywhere.
It is just a fantastic sight. 1974 was the year of the big rains and floods across the country.

My family would absolutely love..love to travel to see all these places ...in our country..we live in Durban.Pinetown....the number 1...thing that prevents us from driving to even go see the Darkensburg mountain here in kZN...3hours from our flat...is the cost of Diesel for my bakkie.... it's make family trips very very expensive...we would love to go be in snow in July our winter....but diesel fuel prices.. prevents that trip...one tank of diesel r1800 ...and still diesel to fill up to get home...r 1800..it just way to expensive....at 25 rand a litre....in 2008... diesel r3.59 a litre....you could travel...today...it is unaffordable... except if you got big big income...we don't...so we don't travel... government ruling party has made travel way to expensive to travel...for average family....how I wish to see all these places...I'm 56... lived in KZn all my life... haven't seen much of kZN...cause fuel is extremely expensive....
