I finally embraced it in 2010. It was basically shoved down my throat as a child because of my father. I did have my own favorites like the Mule Skinner Blues cover by Tony Rice. Over time I fully understood the musicianship that bluegrass takes to be good at it. These players are some of the absolute best, Even 21 years later. Rheres not many can be considered in the same category rhese days.
Wow! Randy Scruggs can play that guitar to death. I thought it might get up and fly. Love to hear Earl play the guitar 🎸 too. Check out some of old 1950's Flatt & Scruggs Opry shows. Some great music. They broke the mold when they made them. Every banjo player wants to play like Earl.
Randy burns up that fretboard, those Opryland shows are all golden, and I definitely wish I could play with a millimeter of the style that Earl innovated on the banjo. Absolute legend!

I was thinking the same thing, although I saw him at Country Fest in Altamont, New York way back in '94, and I was favorably impressed with his guitar playing. He was playing a chromed Harley Davidson Fender Strat. Cool-looking guitar.
