Saddest Boy Ever - The Jenny Jones Show

  • Found this taped on an old home movie. In an episode of Jenny Jones titled "Boot Camp My Pre-Teen," a young boy melts the heart of a drill instructor sent to teach the boy some respect and discipline.
Update: This is Patrick, the guy who found the original videotape over a decade ago and uploaded this clip to CZcams. I found the original kid and drill instructor from this clip, and with their permission have been making a documentary about them for the past three years. You can see my most recent update about the documentary here:

You know dude, for those human beings out there that can’t see that love and support works more for people and especially children than violence and abuse, those are the people who truly need to be in power and in charge of this world. Because they’d do anything and everything they can for other people. They’d curb human suffering and work for the benefit of the people and not for the profit.
Ya know, that’s kinda funny because that 100% describes The Minutemen Faction from Fallout 4 and I just played that like 20 minutes ago lol.
But seriously, the future needs to be run by love, courage, respect and dignity. All of that needs to be earned through hard work and sacrifice. All of that needs to be paid to those souls who remain broken, hurt and lost.
There are too many people in modern-day America that fit that description of broken, hurt and lost. I should know, I’m one of them.
I think the best we can do is follow in the footsteps of men like that drill sergeant. To sacrifice oneself for the betterment of others, to protect and to help heal the wounds others have created. To show no fear and to show no mercy to the merciless, to show immense love and support to those who remain in the darkness of despair.
      If we CAN’T do that…
Well, we reap what we sow. And while we’re trying to sow love and hope in our society in inches nowadays, we have miles of despair and hate sown right now that were sown very recently by very, very bad people. That’s why we’re in darkness. We’d rather die here in the darkness than love this country for the pain it’s caused us. But if we continue to sow trust and love, make it crystal clear that haters have no future in this country, focus on love and respect and dignity for all human beings, perhaps we will see a better future.
Here’s to healing, love and happiness 🍻

Just as bad when the Mom is so crazy that she runs a great dad off. Then to make it worse, the courts side with the female. Then she trash talks the dad so that the child thinks he is a POS and doesn't love him, when in fact it tears him up inside not being there. A child so close, yet because of courts, so far. Then when the child gets old enough to seek out the Dad, it's because he hates him so much he wants to lash out. Now, after years of pain, waiting to see his child, he finds out the child hates him and doesn't want anything to do with him because of moms lies. Not all Dads are deadbeats, but some hurt so bad that they wish they were dead. Hug your little ones tight, because no matter how bad some of us want to, we can't.

Part of me is happy that the "drill instructor" reacts the way he did but there's another part of me disgusted that this poor little boy was brought on national tv to be yelled at by some guy that doesn't know him or what he's going through because his mom doesn't know how to be a good parent and he doesn't have a role model to show him how to be a good man. I’ve looked at whatever show records I have and cannot find that exact show or any names, and the boy did not go to boot camp since he was too young. I have put out word at every opportunity that if anyone recognizes this family from the video to please contact me through this website, on my facebook page, or my youtube channel. So far no one has claimed to know them or to be them. I, too, would love to know how this little boy is doing today (he would be an adult by now). I do hear from quite a few former guests with updates on their lives but never this family. I’m aware that the video has been seen by millions of people but there is nothing else I can do to find him. I’m still hoping someone will recognize him or his mother and contact me. I would be thrilled if that happens and will certainly share the information if it ever comes."

I taught 7th grade in a low-income county. One of only three male teachers. Getting on to a student one day I threatened to call his father. He replied “Mr. Jones you’re the only daddy I got” and it’s stuck with me ever since. That was heavy.

I grew up with a father that never talked to me that often. He always silenced me and never taught me anything. Now he wants to be buddy buddy with me and pretend my childhood didn't suck ass.

Robert Stenowicz It's never too late to make up for lost time... maybe he wants to be the father he should have been to you. If you don't give him a chance you may regret it someday. Do what you feel is right. Good luck to you.

Man!! Instant tears everytime I see this. How could someone not love and be there for their child? Regardless of how you feel about the mother, it's not the child's fault. They need their dad, both girls and boys.

If you watched the episode there is more to it. Sadly this boy is nothing but a spoiled abusive brat. He mistreated his mother and younger sibling. NO wonder the daddy did not want anything to do with him. He is a brat. I say if you can watch the whole episode do so. This is just a small clip and if you watch the whole episode you will see that there is a reason his dad left him. His fault.

Some women get the courts to separate the fathers from their children. More often times than not, the fathers didn't choose to abandon their kids.

This is simply not true. Children mostly act out because of what’s happening at home. While his behavior was cause for concern, to place the blame solely on a young boy is neither fair nor honest.

@@amyn7773 you are a moron. This episode isn’t available anywhere. No one, not even Jenny Jones has even been able to identify the boy or his mom. You are talking out of your @$$. Men don’t leave their babies they leave their baby’s mamas. I pray you don’t have children.

This one is a tear jerker for most, I'm sure. For some of us, who are step-dads or adopted or just the ones who have been the father figure, it's especially poignant. Matthew Byrd could relate, I'm sure. Thanks Harold Conner for sharing this with us on FB.
