Vogue just slaps “k-beauty” into the video title since she’s Asian. She literally used 3 Korean products while majority was Neutrogena and non-Korean brands. I get that k beauty is a buzzword but you shouldn’t corner Asian women into one beauty category. WE’RE ALL NOT THE SAME.
I was just gonna say this! I love Lana and I love the fact that the movie she played a Korean adopted girl became a hit but she's not Korean, nor majority of the products in this video is Korean. I hope media like Vogue to be more considerate.
@@cynthiarisao6797 she actually played a half white/half Korean girl in the movie. We see her father and her mom was said to be Korean so she's probably mixed unless they adopted. But that wasn't ever said in the films. It's not 100% accurate but then again: Million times better than casting Emma Stones and Scarlett Johannson as her two sisters.

Plus they celebrate a holiday with their maternal side of the family, to which Lara and Kitty wear a hanbok because their Dad wants to show respect and for them to have pride in their culture.

I want to let you guys know that I absolutely ADORE Lana. But as a Korean, I wouldn't say Lana's make-up style(which looks FABULOUS on her by the way) is how a typical Korean would do his/her make-up. I am concerned that the title of the video would give some misunderstandings about "K-beauty". I hope Vogue doesn't generalize one actor's make-up style(who is not a Korean, and who never mentions that her style is inspired by "K-beauty" in the video) as "K-beauty" just because she starred as a Korean in a movie or because she's using 4 Korean cosmetic products out of 15 products.
