Some nice catches. Weather has been crazy around here over the last few weeks. Love the thumbnail on this one😂 I cracked up when I saw it. Video idea…We should try to get together one day with our Daiwa Pressos and spool them both with 1lb Sufix Ice line. Then see who can land the biggest catch without breaking off.😄 I have tried it…and it’s a challenge for sure, but super fun.
I forfeit that challenge lol I’ve tried I think it was berkley ice line in 1lb and it didn’t end well 😂 2lb is as low as I’ll go, however I heard about some JDM 1.75lb line 👀

I have an idea if you’re ever hard up for content. You do a really good job of tossing tiny plastics, but there are plenty of frustrated people-like me-who can barely cast a trout magnet, etc. across a sidewalk. That’s even with a Daiwa Legalis with 3 lb. fluorocarbon on a TFO trout rod. I’m trying BFS, but that’s going to take a while. I’m not sure that’s all that it’s cracked up to be. Any tips would be appreciated.
Unless you’re willing to fork out another mortgage in money towards the higher end BFS stuff that’s capable of casting ultralight jigs, then 3/16 is about as low as most more budget minded BFS reels will allow. My $70 kastking zephyr doesn’t like it when anything under 1/16 is tied to it so 3/16 is as kind of the sweet spot for it.
