I’m so glad I’ve always been to broke to buy deva girl
I started using devacurl about 7 weeks ago (the week of Christmas) and my long waist length hair was FRIED. It was so damaged and matted that I could not even brush it. This past sunday, 2 days ago, I had to go to a hair salon by my house where the stylist could also not brush my hair. She had to cut my hair up to my collar bone. I wished I never bought it! Before that my hair was the healthiest its been in my life and I have been natural for 7 years. My hair is 100% virgin, it never has had heat and never has been dyed. It looks better now that I cut it off but my curl pattern is still really loose and yesterday at work a huge ball of hair just sitting on my sweater!

I’m really waiting on a black woman who is also a beauty chemist to analyze the ingredients in their products and spill the tea to us
If Devacurl isn't pulling their products then it's up to us. My suggestion is exposing the batch code numbers off our current bottles that might be causing the damages
its extremely irresponsible for their company to act this way. no recalls, only blaming the consumers.
This is so crazy i remember the early days of CZcams when this product was a MUST have! I never used it because i refused to pay that price plus i have 4c hair so i didn't think it would work for me anyways 🤷🏾♀️ i feel so bad for those that this has hurt.
I hope everyone sees my comment, I believe they put some kind of relaxer in the products but won’t say it. Please everybody don’t throw the products away, keep them they could be used for testing !
Being a female of color this hits hard. I'm puerto Rican and my hair was damaged and it took me 7-8 years to make it good enough that it could be considered natural. I always wanted devacurl but could never afford it. If my hair had suffered the way you ladies have I would be curled up in a ball crying my life away. Our hair is already a topic of too kinky, too curly, to nappy. We're raised that relaxers are what we need to look pretty. Breaking out of that cycle to finally love your hair and then this crap happens? It's not right. I'm sorry you're going through this. My heart goes out to you.
I used deva curl for a month and I experienced a whole lot of hair loss. I use drug store products before and never had that much loss!! I never used DC religiously but it almost messed up my hair
This is why I only try one new product at a time so the second I notice a change in my skin or hair I know exactly what it is. I'm sorry you were affected by this :( I really ppl would stop making excuses for devacurl this is completely ridiculous the proof is all the pics and videos of ppls hair being absolutely destroyed.
A friend of mine reminded me that Deva Curl was bought out last year, and it’s possible that whoever bought them changed their ingredients

I believe I am also a victim of this too!! And you hit the nail on the head!! I had NO IDEA that it was DevaCurl that caused my thinness!!😩 I blamed mine on hormones and having children😔

I’m so glad I’m too cheap for this . It took FOREVER to grow out my natural hair . Aprox 7 years . I can’t imagine how devastating it is for those affected . I would be so so sad . It really takes a long time to achieve LONG virgin curls .
I need to stop looking at deva curl stories cause I'm bouta cry at this point
