All dogs keep an eye on their owners for TREATS, FOOD, etc. I gave my dog treats but my husband didn't so my dog was always by my side in whatever I did. EVEN when I went to the bathroom, they aren't as dumb as cat owner's think they are.

He has replied to me about this in the past, he will set up the camera, go back so hes out of shot, then go past it. Then he goes until hes unseen and then will circle around and go back and get the camera. The dedication is really impressive when it comes to the portaging shots he does,

Not gonna lie, your struggles with hitting river debris, getting your rod caught, and making noise brought a smile to my face. I knew I couldn’t be the only one who has that experience every time I try to river fish. If you ask my buddies, they never have that problem cause they are all such “great fishermen”...

I love how you can make yourself (and us) laugh during your adventures. I felt kinda bad for laughing when your hood got caught on the branch and you almost choked to death... but then you started laughing and honestly, I would’ve reacted the same way💀🤣 and you would say “skeeeeewwwt” when you’re trying to get over a log or a sandbar. About two years ago I found this channel and I wasn’t sure I would like it. I kept returning and checking out his new adventures and the dogs and Matthew grew on me. Your sense of humor in Matthews disposition made it almost a “have to watch” scenario. Now I look forward to new overnighters and weeklong adventures and live through him because my life is so mundane. Lol
Between you and Joe robinate are the best channels regarding to these adventures. Nice to see a decent duration instead of a chopped up 30 min vid from creators. Makes the experience much better!!

You can put anything in Spanish rice, check out what a paella, sounds like “pa-hey-ya”. From different veggies to different meats, chicken bone or no bone, shrimp(omGosh! Try dry shrimp ground or whole it’s a favorite at Lent time, there’s no correct or right way. Spanish rice can be combined with everything as long as the salt and spices are correct that’s all that really matters, yes even potatoes makes it a hearty meal👌. I was raised old school there wasn’t any chicken bouillon 😁 but now he he he, no garlic stink on my hands bouillon is a blessing it has absolutely everything to make even plain rice taste delicious 😋. Canned tomatoes sauce or cubed takes the place of cutting it up easier clean up too. You can and should stir it up at least twice especially if you got meats of any kind in it, your making sure that meat is turned and dunked down in the sauce so it’s well done. Don’t stir it the last 10 minutes of cooking or yes the rice loses its shape n will turn into mashed potato’s lol. It’s a fun dish an absolute must to teach our kids both boys and girls I taught both at 4-5 yrs old so if the day comes mama isn’t with them, they can cook this up and in 30-40 minutes my kids can cook it up without fear they’ll burn themselves. Hi Matthew , thank you so much for this great video. I’ve been grieving over the loss of my mother. She passed away 2 years ago today April 3rd. and because of Covid restrictions I was not able to say goodbye. Thank you Matthew and Monty for being a great help to me during this difficult painful time.

I cook as you do.. I think the last time I actually followed a recipe I was in my teens... I'm almost 70 now (ssshhh that's earth years and I don't go by them either lol) I follow them when I'm baking but not for anything else... Just list the ingredients and I'll take it from there

This type of rice is called (Asopao) a version of soup a little dryer. Looks great and yes all the spices cumin was missing. 😋🚣♀️

U don't have to burn food and have cold on the other side. You pull coals from three fire as needed into a "keyhole" fire lay. The square or rectangle side is fed coals as needed to keep the temperature perfect. I learned this over 50 years in cub scouts... It works!
