Welcome to Bandung
That is “Bandung Lautan Api” monument, which means “Bandung Sea of Fire” (you can check it on wiki too). In short, it was the local’s initiative to burn their houses and properties as they evacuated the region of South Bandung, due to increasing tension with foreign military forces following Indonesia’s Declaration of Independence. They did that to prevent it being used as military bases. So yeah it’s a very significant historical event.

Guys When In Bandung You Should Go To Ciwideuy Theres a Lot Of Tourist Atraction n’ The Weather Also Cooler Than Any City in Indonesia

Every Sunday each city have program = CFD (Car Free Day) in some street
BUT it started early tho, from after Subuh prayer (usually you hear adzan/prayer call for Muslim, around 4-5 a.m, depend the city) and it's already CROWDED hehehe
So yeah. hope next time you won't miss it, again hehe

that flames monument resembles a “bandung lautan api” event or literally “bandung sea of fire” when the dutch try to colonize indonesia once again after we declare our independence the people of bandung literally burn their own house, office, and the city so the dutch can’t use it.

Buset, banyak sampah di areanya, pemprov nya harus meringatin ke pedagang2 pun orang2 yg berkunjung untuk buang sampah pada tempatnya, mobilnya harus dikasih bantalan agar empuk penumpang pun akan senang.
namanya ketan hitam itu yg dikiranya di fermentasi biasanya dicampur bubur kacang hijau + santan jauh lebih enak
maaf. pak ridwannya lg sibuk belanja.

The flame monument resemble the struggle of Bandung people during war with the Dutches after ww2. They literally burned many Dutch buildings so the Dutch can't use it again.
