I'm thinking that the Tiger Masked Tekken Monk is supposed to be a vessel for Heihachi. Considering there is also some Blood Moon stuff going on, and maybe the final fight between Jin and Kazuya severed the veil between realms or something... and it allowed for Heihachi to occupy this Tiger Masked vessel.

This secret faction in the trailer could’ve been a good way to show a new character with Heihachi’s whole play style while still fitting the narrative that Heihachi is dead.

You already see the scars in the monk because he is already turning into Heihachi. The monks are training the Mishima style with a lot of trials. The winner will inherit Heihachi's soul. The final test is to survive the explosion caused by a Jack-7. The only survivor is Lidia's relative.

I'm very excited to see how they wrote Heihachi back to life. He's one of the greatest fighting game character of all time. I saw this live and I did have a stroke. God, I love Tekken.
