    I'm really thinking about buying this bike for $6000 at my local Honda dealer. It has 77,000 miles on it, but it will most likely go another 230,000. :) Thanks for uploading this video! :)

      Which model year did you wind up with? I took delivery of mine ('12 level 3) about the same time you did... mid May.

      GL1800 1999

      Not sure how that's possible on accounta the 1800s didn't appear until the 2001 model year.

      I feel such a fool now seeing I've been riding my 1999 1800GL for over a year now. Obviously it's all just been a dream!

    I owned a GL1500 for a while, and it was a fantastic bike. Getting a back tyre fitted is a major, and expensive because of the time involved, but oter han that I couldn't really complain? I have looked at an 1800, which could be a viable alternative to the Harley Soft-Tail Deluxe I currently own? Great review.

      +Rod Anderson The rear tire on a gl 1800 is the easiest rear tire of any bike to change... you can literally lay the bike down on the passenger side, and it comes off with a lug wrench, that is all that's required, no bags or drive line to remove!

    • @froglaps40
      @froglaps40 Před 7 lety

      I second that... Rod Anderson just youtube 1800 rear tire change.

      Well, I tell ya. When I purchased mine new in 2013, I was extremely comforted taking out the loan knowing that the extended factory warranty would outlast the payments.
      Is there any motorcycle company out there that offers a 7 year unlimited warranty on their bikes besides Honda?
      Heck the salesman even said If I was "stranded" in a really bad storm on the interstate under an overpass.... I could make a call and get a ride and the bike towed to a motel for safetey's sake.

    I hate the Honda GL1800 because of the seat and the uncomfortable seating position from 2001 to 2019 and the stupid flat engine was better in the form of V futile design

    It always fascinates me how fuel inefficient motorcycles are. At 40mpg this bike does barely half of the mpg that my 2.0L all wheel drive Subaru Forester does, and can only take 1 passenger and about a fifth of the luggage. Incredible. Ironically it costs roughly the same too ffs...

      If we're all about fuel economy,then you need to pedal your ass were you need to.
