I carried a G22 as a duty pistol for decades, with Trijicon tritium sights.
It served me well and is a good pistol and caliber (even though I do prefer 45ACP).
I agree with your comment completely…. It echoes my exact experience and feelings. Duty carry G22 for 10 years, and then G21 for 12 years. Stay Safe Sir!
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
I bought my Glock22 gen 3 back in January 2021 I thought recoil was going to be harsh like a lot of people claim but surprisingly it was just a bit more stout than my Glock19 people over exaggerate the 40s&w kick. I added an aftermarket fully supported barrel, Wolff non-captured steel guide rod with a few 20lb recoil springs from the same brand & now it feels way better.
People greatly over exaggerate 4” s&w recoil. The micro 9 pistols recoil is just as bad as something like a g27.
Absolutely love the glock 22. Bought a glock 22.5 a month ago and its been a pkeastto shoot!
I appreciate your words of wisdom on training and running your carry ammo thru. You have to test and train with what you carry. I also have the gen 4 G22. Never saw that breaker base plate before. Ive run my glock thru one of the CAA MCK units too. Really helps my accuracy and allows me to add a red dot.
Awesome!!!! Fantastic Pistol. B9USA Sr.
I like the .40 S&W cartridge a lot. The older Glock 22s and 23s not as much. I was a departmental armorer for my police department for many years, and those older Glocks would not stand up to the pressure of the .40 as well as the 9mm. I am curious about the remodeled Glock 22 with the beefed up slide and frames. If they are as improved as I have heard, it would be a great pistol, indeed.
I have a gen 5 23 and 22 and they handle the 40 very nice I’ve had older Glock 40s and got rid of them for 9mm glocks off the fact they didn’t like the 40 cal round but the newer 40s handle it nice with the thicker slide
@@scottiepippen3855 Thanks for the info.
Never had any problems out of my gen 4 or even my gen 3, 23 had over 5000 rounds through both
It's definitely a confidence inspiring pistol for duty or carry. That holster is fantastic, too! 👍👍
Thanks my friend! It is a Fantastic older Glock 22 in 40 Caliber! I still love it…. I will keep it to the end of my days. It is Excellent & your right the Holster is superb too. Best, Beretta Sr.
@@BERETTA9mmUSA I have a 23 gen 4 with that frying pan finish (made in 2012) and yes it is awesome . still looks brand new . that finish is indestructible
Nice
The Glock 19X I recently got ran 500+ rds with no signs of failure 1st time out using the 33 rd magazines. They are fantastic. Love my Wilson/Brown but dang the glocks are impressive. Great video fellas!!
The Glock 19X is Fantastic!!! Marvelous Pick From The Glock Family!! :)
Lifetime Keeper. Beretta Sr.
My Glock 19x seems to have a better trigger then some other Glocks or is it my imagination enjoying the bang !
@@waynecastleman1363 YB & I both find some Glock triggers are a bit better then most. I like that very much on some of my Glock pistols. Enjoy!
I started out with a G2 model 22 in the mid 80's. I could shoot it well but hated it. We didn't have a lot of aftermarket at the time. The trigger was, LOL a Glock. I sold it. I picked up a Police trade in G3 about 12 years ago. Cosmetically fine, Somebody shot it with obvious internal wear, the action was sweet. I shoot and enjoy it to this day and its still accurate. I made a trip to Smyrna Ga to visit the Glock Factory. It is an experience to do. They replaced every spring and worn part, even pins. The frame, slide, and barrel were not touched. I had 3 mags with it as well. The armorer came out with a list of the work performed and said btw we gave you new mags. Have I told you how much I like FREE? It is quite an experience I recommend for anyone with a worn Glock. As a company they really stand behind their product.
This is Excellent Information Sir!! Thanks very much for sharing your true story about Glock there in Smyrna Georgia, and how they treated you.
I appreciate you watching & hitting me up with the “Thumbs Up” on our videos. It helps the Video get more views. All our Best to you!

Got this exact model, love the color and performs great.
It is Awesome!!
One of the best channels on CZcams!
Thanks sooo much. Stay safe Chris.
Beretta SR.
Very nice Glock. Thank you for the video!
One of my Favorites out of my “Bakers Dozen!” LOL! Stay Safe & Thanks for the “Thumbs Up” as always.
Best, Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
Retired LEO here...carried 40 Caliber handgun for half my career but never owned a Glock until I retired. First Glock I purchased was the G22 some nine years after I retired. I also now own a G30...good handguns and great cartridges.
I agree on both. Great picks by both of us! Thanks for your service Sir.
Stay Safe in Retirement.
Beretta Sr. 😎🇺🇸👍💥💥
😂 have a awesome retirement man I wish I could be a officer but can’t unfortunately
@@timothyfanchier2976
There are other, much better ways to make a living...thanks though.
I got this exact model, love the 22. 40 cal is a great round, never understood the hate. You get a projectil going 1250-1300 fps with 535-600 pounds of energy beats 9mm or 45
Personally, I believe this is probably one of the very best all-around pistols, being capable and useful for basically anything I can reasonably expect of a pistol. Defense against both people and animals? Check. Short-range deer/hog hunting? Check. And for straight-up and full-on combat, 15 rounds of .40 is a lot of firepower for a pistol of such reasonable size and weight.
I conceal one every day now, a Gen 3 OD Green frame in a Galco Royal Guard 2.0, it’s entirety doable. It’s an easy gun to shoot well, too. Love it.
Have you seen that these are converted into 9mm? Just bought an leo trade in and have some ideas about upgrades
9mm stinks.
Nice pistol, and always good info and advice, thanks
I Appreciate you watching & hitting us up with the “Thumbs Up” on our videos. Take care and stay safe out there. All our best,
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
Thanks to B9 I just now realized I do not have a duty sized pistol in 40. Doesn’t mean I need one though. Ive got a 23gen4 and a bunch of other compact 40’s too. Ive been a fan of .40 for nearly 20 years and never turned my back on it. Its power factor cannot be ignored. I’ll admit that in the beginning I needed to train with it. I still fatigue sooner than when shooting 9, probably after around 200-300 rounds whereas 9mm wont do it as soon. I typically favor the 165 gr variety but 180 is cool too
You are correct Sir! The 40 caliber round can not be ignored for how truly effective a man stopper it is.
My opinion is based from my knowledge of it’s actual use in the field. I will not give examples, but just know my statement is based in fact. This is a very effective self defense round.
Thanks for watching & for the “Thumbs Up” on our video. Stay Safe out there.
Respectfully, Beretta Sr.
I really liked the colours of the Glock :) Nice video & Thanks Sir :)
Thank-you my friend for watching and hitting that “Thumbs Up” button. I do appreciate you & you take care. See you on the next video.
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
@@BERETTA9mmUSA Thanks for your good wishes Sir 🙏🕊 Very eager to see your next video 🙏🕊 Happy Weekend 🙏🕊
In my opinion Gen 4 is the most underrated generation. Because of generation 4, Glock became more accessible to people with smaller hands, lefties, and frame improvements were made so that a weapon mounted light didn't crack the frame. We wouldn't have gen 5 without gen 4. Also, regarding the trigger difference: Like any generation of glock, the glock gen 4 trigger will be kinda stiff initially. This is normal. 500 rounds and beyond, the trigger smooths out like glass and becomes light and crisp. Just break her in. Gen 4 ftw.
I finally found your video with my favorite glock 22 and the color you have it in makes it even more beautiful! as always excellent presentation and nice video! I promise you that I will also join your other channel CZ9mmusa to encourage your efforts
Thank-you very much Sir! 😊😎👍
@@BERETTA9mmUSA 👍👍👍
Got one Saturday haven't had time to get to the range with it
Awesome! Congratulations. :)
Variety is always good ! We all mostly love the 1911 in all it's glory but their are some other models that I'd choose for service and those would be H&K SIG and Glock they go bang and their proven as well thier are more such as the CZ 75 models which served NATO are bullet proof. This is why I enjoy your channel, the content is the real deal 🤜🤛💪🇺🇸
I Love those pistols too…. Can help anyone protect themselves and their families. Soooo important!! God Bless you my friend, stay safe out there.
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
5’7” 175 lbs, I carry the 22 or a 17 conceals easily, I also use a Beretta 92X
Carried one in my duty holster for years. Now as many agencies, our office swithched to the glock g45 9mm. Always enjoy the video's!
The Glock 22 was an issued Glock for our Sheriffs Department for almost 12 years…… then Glock 21 or Glock 17 for my last 10 Years. G45 is also a great pistol. Stay Safe Brother.
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
Cool,glock
Thank-you. :)
Great Glock 22 Pistol. I will be purchasing the Little brother. The Glock 23, they both are great Pistols !
Yes they are, Thanks for watching Sir!
Beretta SR.
My wife and I just sold our Glock 19’s, and switched to CZ 75’s. I keep getting the urge to grab another G19, so who knows.
I understand completely. I still own 13 Glocks but I only carry this one. I think it is the 12 years I carried the Glock 22 on duty. I have huge confidence in the pistol & the caliber. Let me know when you pick up your next G19, G45, or G23. It is hard to resist. LOL! Stay Safe Brother! Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
I like my CZ 75 B Omega, but the single action trigger is loooong. I may get a Compact for carry soon
I agree shoot that carry ammo. I’ve had a lot of hollow points with accuracy problems.
Thanks my friend! I hope you & the family are doing well.
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
Glocks are great carry weapons. Semper Fi
Yes Sir , Thank-you very much for watching as always. Semper Fi Devil Dog!! Stay Safe out there Sir, things are kinda crazy these days.
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
Have you ever looked into conversion barrels for this gun? 357 Sig or 9mm..thanks
No I have not. I know lots of people do it…. Maybe they will comment here for you. B9USA Sr.
I have so many questions about upgrades I plan on converting it to 9mm and this Glock for some reason remains mysterious as glocks go
G22 is a great value, get you a police trade in G22 for 300 bucks and you got a lot of gun for the money. I have never seen a magazine glass breaker, that's a good idea and I would assume a reversed pistol whip would be effective against many things lol
Hi GunSam!! As usual you are on point with your advice here. Excellent buys out there in Glock trade ins. Some regular owners will sell their Glocks at great prices too, and they only have 400 or 500 rounds fired through them. Fantastic Glock Buys out there if a person looks around for a couple days or weeks on the outside. Our Best to you my friend! Stay Safe!
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
I carry a G 23 40.cal.i put a weaton arms trigger flat face awesome no take up reset rt now I love it. You should change yours out you will be happy great videos. I am a sub
Thanks very much to all our Subscribers out there! We do appreciate you Sir. The G23 is a Fantastic Pistol. I appreciate you hitting the “Thumbs Up” for us on our videos. Stay safe out there.
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
Nice Gear....
Thanks for watching! B9USA Sr. :)
40 S&W is an excellent self defense round and you cannot beat a glock.
Soooo True!! Thank-you!
Beretta Sr.
I'm really trying do decide to keep or trade my 21 gen 4 .. I bought it on impulse and i shoot it well but 45 ammo is expensive.
The G21 is one of the Best Pistols on Planet Earth! I own 2 and I do not shoot them all the time, because 45ACP is expensive.
There is Nothing Better then the Glock 21 Pistol when shit hits the fan. The fast fight stopper of a Glock 21 in 45ACP can not be ignored. I carried the Glock 21 in 45ACP for my last 10 years as a Deputy Sheriff & I always felt well armed just in case.
I Love this Glock pistol and the 45ACP round, even if you only practice with it once a year to save on ammo cost. All my Best & Thanks for the “Thumbs Up” on the videos… I appreciate it, and you have a nice weekend.
Respectfully, Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
Keep!!!!!!!!
Nice video Big Homie! My first pistol was a Glock 23...i love it and i will never get rid of it.... but once u get ur hands on a CZ, Sig, or a HK.... u come back to the Glock and it seems ur holding one of those late 90s Nextel cellular phones...😅😂🤣😆 a straight brick.
Soooo true! I still have a 12 or 13 Glocks that I just can’t sell yet. Maybe slowly over the next couple years. LOL!
Stay Safe Sir! My best to you. :)
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
I love glocks, i own a couple and mags are cheap…
My very first gun. Choosed because FBI and co. It teatches me I had to learn to shoot, take some classes and that Glocks grip is not for my hand.
I need a 22 plinker
A Glock 22 is a Great Pistol! I still enjoy it and carry it a couple days a month.
Thanks very much for watching & for taking the time to Hit the “Thumbs Up”
We do appreciate it very much.
Stay Safe out there!
Beretta9MMUSA Sr.
Nice look at a good old gun. And there is just something satisfying about using a quality leather holster. BTW, I carried a G22 for several years, then a 23, and my last 10 years when I was mainly driving a desk, I carried a G27 - all in a leather holster.
Absolutely Sir! Something Special about a beloved Glock Pistol & a good leather holster. I carry this thing from time to time. Matter of fact, I just got home from a 3 day trip, and I carried this Glock 22 as a back up on my left side in a cross draw holster situation. I also had my Sbardella Custom Carry Full-Size 1911 on my right hip. It was some weight, but I felt safe while away from home. My first time carrying both pistol with extra magazines for 3 days straight. It made me think of my days in the Marines. Not bad for a retired guy! LOL! Stay Safe Sir! Beretta Sr.
