Improving access to mental health for Deaf children and young people

The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) is commonly used to assess the mental health of children and adolescents. A member of our Department was involved in translating the SDQ into British Sign Language (BSL). It is now accessible to Deaf children, their carers and teachers. This film explains the translation process in English and BSL.
