I figured out MY problem with "Why Reshade Settings Don't Open". I have the original game installed, but all the packs are cracked with Anadius' Unlocker v2.
What I did:
1. Uncheck Direct X9 in game settings. Leave the game.
2. In GShade app delete previous installs. When browsing choose Game-cracked > Bin. NOT Game > Bin. Choose Direct X11.
3. LShift + Backspace opened the menu.
It worked for my issue. I opened the game and the window poped up without me pressing anything. Maybe others use Anadius Unlocker as well or will find this helpful.

Yeah I sue a Microsoft surface laptop 4 and g shade makes my game freeze and crash a lot
hi, this worked really well but I have the issue where any preset with mxao causes really weird shadows indoors, like the shadows being much farther than where the objects are and it always fixes when i turn that off but I still want it, any tips ?

shift + backspace won’t open g shade menu when i download it though? any help guys?
If it’s your first time installing it in the top right corner it’ll what key to press
If not then reinstall and look for the option

Did you try home key?

i've used gshade before but i deleted it because it stopped working now i've reinstalled it using this but the menu wont show up i swear i followed this tutorial exactly
i've tried shit + backspace, home, shift + f2 etc but when i start my sims game the menu wont show up telling me its installed correctly
Are you making sure you’re using direct x 9? That’s the only reason I’d think it isn’t working . When you first load the installer it ask you to select the visual the program uses make sure you choose direct x 9
And you have to be on windows to.
need some ressurance or answers : so i downloaded gshade (ini) preset, and I'm curious + SCARED lol, since i seen a whole ton of ppl saying GShade (website) has malware inflicted in it,, and last month - ppl were still having issues with downloading it. though...there's another half of ppl saying that it only shuts down ur computer if import it in a wrong way, due to the "anti.tamper" that was added in GShade to stop ppl taking their presets into reshade (may be wrong), lastly - that it almost impossible to uninstall.
question: okay, so here's my question, did it impact ur gameplay at all?? like buggy/frozen or laggy game, messed with mods, or did ur computer ever shut down randomly ? + edit: I seen a lot of people not updating Gshade, or competely removing it bc of that matter
I have never had gshade do any of that , if it’s laggy it’s because your computer isn’t strong enough to use gshade , in the video I talk about how the GitHub dosent have malware and is the only place you should be downloading gshade. As for uninstalling it it’s simple to remove ! I’ll be making an update for gshade to answer everyone’s questions . I’ll include yours in the video .

@@Datanimechick-vi6qq is gpi supposed to help with performance because i watch tutorials on how to download it and they always say to select directx 9 and when they load into the game and theirs always load but mine keeps saying sims 4 is not responding and freezes on loading screen. I'm doing what the videos say.

@@Simfinityplays my computer uses DirectX 12 but when i try to select my Api DirectX 12 isn't an option. I've tried everything. including deleting DirectX 9 10 and 11 from the system and when i reinstall it DirectX 12 is still not an option even though it's what the computer uses. what do I do?
@EmmaYoung-gx8xc you shouldn’t have deleted any of those files. If your system runs direct x12 it also run 9,10 and 11 . You didn’t have to change any but you should only select 9 or 11 because that is what the sims 4 runs on
