Today I cut two good ford trucks apart and glued them together to try make a four door truck. I believe they were greenlight brand to begin with.

Turn the remaining bed into a matching trailer for the quad cab.
beat me too it, was going to say the exact same thing! Would make a great accessory to it!
This!
yes, everyone needs and old truck bed trailer.
Maybe make it look old and the wheel arches look all rusty
My thoughts exactly!
I was thinking the same thing
Accidentally stumbled on this video, I had no idea there was such a following for diecast cars. Nice work tho!
HILLbilly hack Millers same XD
This and Matty's Micro Restorations are fantastic!
nOT ONCE WAS THE SCALE OF THIS TRUCK MENTIONED.
@@donnevin2273 It's a matchbox car. The scale should be pretty obvious.
I too accidentally came across this video. Interesting to see.
You can use the leftover bed and make a trailer.
John P - that would look sharp. Better than the hay wagon. If he used the left over axle and chassis with the box, the ride height would match the truck.
And the leftover bed could be with led lights under the body :)
John P heuw yea... lol
I like how the original model has the bed separate from the cab like the real thing. Opens a lot of opportunities for custom rears.
I like how his has the sag in the middle like many old pickups haha mainly 2000's chevs but Ford had the issue too.
was thinking "I wish I had this kind of time one my hands" but then I realized im here watching a guy do it on youtube so i guess I do have time!
I listen to other people/youtubers create while I work on my own projects. It's like having a buddy in the shop with you.
@@otm646 haha that's what I do
70% of comments: 'You should make a matching trailer from the left over bed'
20%: 'You forgot the indicator/reflector on the side of the bed'
10%: 'This is an awsome build good job' (Me)
.1% (me) The color match is bad, the body work crusty, and the chrome stripe made it, but not the white stripe. 😂
.1% It's a "CREW CAP"
CAB*
Came out super-duty sweet! I'd turn that other bed into a trailer. One of the best quad cab conversions I've seen. That color green is very sentimental to me considering my best friend growing up dad had a 69 Ford camper special that color.
Nice job. Just as a missed item though, the rear side red reflectors weren't painted back on.
I wish all the people watching this had done a few models and struggled with them as much as I did so when they watch your videos, they know what a master you are at your trade. With these matchbox cars being so minute, that only multiplies the difficulty exponentially.
Color was matched perfectly can't even tell it started as a single cab this truck ready for work!
You know the buffalo sauce is good when it strips the paint off
Cronus Z1564201 brings new meaning to “I put that sh*t on everything”
Dude that was sick. Please do more custom/hot rod builds...chopping...lifting
...lowering...
Yup yup I agree!
Dude make a matching trailer with the leftover bed...
Nice dual cab conversion
That's one thing I miss about decades gone by, classy muted color palates. Cars now are either standard boring black, gray, silver, white, and then a plethora of IN YOUR FACE colors. This green and cream coloring looks awesome on this truck.
YASSSSS!
JUST GOT OFF WORK.
PERFECT TIMING:)
Love watching your videos because you are always doing something new.
Dammmm you really cant tell where you joined everything together. Looks like you bought it this way. I don't think anyone else can top this
The paint is spot on.
Great job!!! I think a drop of yellow might have made the green closer but who cares nice custom!!!
I have to mix colours all the time and I'm partially colour blind. I was hoping he nail it but didn't think he'd get it close.......
I'll be honest, at first I was he wants to do what?! ..why ruin a new truck.. but in the end ..dude you knocked it out of the park ...great job... I grew up on a dairy, we had a 68 F-250 camper special..it haul everything from A-Z including a camper and 3 boys got their driver's license with it.
One tuff ol girl..mom eventually sold it ..said it was a big mistake selling it.
Scott M. Franklin NC find it, chances are it could still be out there.
I currently have a 77 f350 camper special in Forrest green. I bought it off a war vet. Absolutely love the truck and it’s stories
Im more of a Chevy guy, but you did an AMAZING job on this! Keep it up bro.
You have mad skills! That two-tone paint job is awesome.
I had a neighbor in SC that was a truck driver, he spend all his home time in a shed building scale model tractor trailers and heavy equipment with remote controls and engines and the semi trucks he had actually rolled coal out the stacks 😄. Super neat passion man I enjoyed watching this video
That's a great project. I have to keep that J B Weld in mind for any model work that I may do in the future. I have used modeling body putty in the past. It was difficult to completely bury unwanted seam lines. Advice taken. Keep up the good work.
This is awesome and perfectly timed! My current project is a lowered Chevrolet Suburban (actual Hot Wheels model name) and the follow up project is going to be a slammed squarebody suburban made from the 83 Silverado. Lots of great tips in this for how to get it done.
I thought this was some real nerd shit for a min not gonna lie but damn man that's some art just like building the full sized thing
Very nice, good color matching! Going back over your site to watch videos I hadn't seen yet! Miss your work my friend but hope all is well in your new path! Best to you!
Not a Ford guy by nature, but this build is badass dude!! Awesome!!
My grandfather had one of these trucks and gave it to my dad. Great job with the extended cab it looks amazing.
This is a really cool and creative project. I have had trucks most of my life, and all except two were quad or crew cabs. I can really relate to this one so much, it reminds me of my father-in-laws when I started dating my wife back in the 70's.
There's a channel that tests various products, adhesives, silicones, oils, lawn car products, and he recently did silicone caulk. Just for fun he threw in JB weld, it was so strong that it made the food fail every times before the JB weld did, and was probably 5 to 10 times stronger than all the other products at joining metal. JB weld is crazy good stuff.
Use the old pickup box as a matching trailer for this project.
Fascinating to see how easy the metal is the cut through, cuts like butter.
That looks awesome Austin .... l mean Ace great job. You did a good job on the color match , but then again it's it's own vehicle .... so what the heck 😆👍
Fantastic job !!
That looked like a fun build and now the truck is much more functional 😃
Man I used to watch every new video this guy uploaded… when I heard he was quitting I almost cried 😢 I have fond memories of watching this guy I hope you come back someday DR love your videos
It’s quite pleasant to see how it is to work on a little toy truck and especially when working with your hands . I admire your work, keep it going. 👍✌️
Very nice customizing! Looks beautiful . Very good job.
Love the video, use the extra bed for a matching trailer. That would be super sick!!
Wow, you have advanced so much in your building since you started this channel. I enjoy watching you do everything I want to but never will. Great job.
I am totally blown away by this build. Your skillset is awesome.
That was an excellent job, Austin, looks beautiful.👍
Raising the bar once again! Even though it's a Ford it looks absolutely fantastic! Needs to look like a farm truck with some weathering. The fake wood slats are still too shiny plastic
but you can take care of that later. 👍🏻👍🏻
Love the detail and work you put into these diecast. This one came out amazing, I love that body style of Fords. I have a small hot rod shop and have built many of them over the years.
one of my favorites so far. great job . i am also learning to weld cars together
That is one killer ford....you my man are very skilled!🤘🏼🇺🇸🔥🔥🔥
Oh hi buddy

Tip for you and any viewers to your channel. Whenever I do stripes and two tone paint in this case after I masked the white I would have sealed the masked edge I personally well better said I would seal the masked white edge with white paint. Waited for it to dry and shot the green. This for me prevents second color bleed by sealing the edge with the masked color first this works well for me, I hope someone can be helped by this tip. Kudos on the great videos your techniques seem to work great for you I wasn't trying to nitpick your process whatsoever I hope you don't take it that way. Thank you for the time and effort involved in making these videos and sharing them with all of us keep up the great work brother.
Very cool project! So fun to watch the progression of the body work.
I wanna learn how to do this. Your really good at what you do it’s like you work for the people that build these great job👍🏼👍🏼
Amazing work and patience. Happy to subscribe. Nice attention to details. Keep up the great work.
Great job! I enjoy your channel. It's my preferred not tv. That truck was beautiful. You killed that paint. Beautiful representation of a Ford pickup. Your skill is appreciated brother. Thanks for what you do.
That turned out super damn good. I love when folks do stuff like this and make something, rather than just do a repaint. Super slick finished piece for sure.
Wow that's one mint makeover.all the truck needs is duals on the back.
That’s awesome! You did a great job.
You're definitely crazy man!! But then again I love you man!! That's definitely sick!! Congratulations!!
Very nice. That quad cab looks awsome. That extra bed you have would make a killer camper trailer. I woukd love to see you do it. Im sure you can make it happen!.
Adding music during the paint stripping was a great touch! The truck came out looking good.
Sweet looking truck, great job! Making crew cabs is fun, I've built quite a few.
What a fantastic rebuild. I love it! Well done!
Love it. My very first vehicle was a 72 F100 Sport Custom, two tone blue.👍👍👍
Bloody awesome.
The rear door could be a bit more prominent in the panel lines.
But that's the only criticism i can come up with after 15 minutes going thru the final result.
Just glorious.
Very daunting task - WELL executed. You truly know your craft. This was fun, too.
Thanks for sharing...
He does make it look easy fo sho!
Always worth the time and effort, excellent build, well done.
Well that was an emotional rollercoaster! Started with excitement at the thought of a quad cab but swiftly plummeted to disappointment when I realised it was going to be what in my neck of the woods we call a dual cab or twin cab. I'd been thinking of a super extended stretched job with four cabs and how amazing that would be. In the end though I was right up there again at incredibly impressed at what you made and am now champing at the bit waiting for the next extraordinary project. I think what you do is wonderful and I'm glad I found your channel.
Put a 428 engine in it. looks good. Bought my first 1968 Ford 4x4 truck new for $3719, kept it for 26 years, then gave it to my son.
Bad ass bump side Ford ! Chopping them up is allot of work but you feel great at the end knowing that you kicked it's ass !
🍻
You Sir, are a freak of nature. No one should be this skilled....
To say you have major talent... is the understatement of the year!... love ya work!
That came out AWESOME I like everything about it.👍👍👍
That was awesome to watch i hope mine goes as good after watching you do it thanks for the idea and pointers
OMG, I usually really really enjoy your projects...but, I absolutely LOVED this!!! So cool! Legendary! Such a brilliant custom! Great job!!!
Man, that turned out fantastic. Color looked awesome. You my friend are a diecast super builder. Whoo hoo
Great work. The crew cabs are fun to build.
I did this exact same thing with a 1966 Chevy truck. Your project turned out better.
No BS man, you and Keith are my favorite diecasters.
Awesome job! This truck is lookin' good!
Well hot diggity damn! This is rad! I was stoked to see you use JBWeld for it.
That is really awesome. You should make a trailer with the leftover bed would be cool. Nice job.
Amazing on how it turned out Job well done👍👏
Looks awesome buddy great job thanks for sharing 👌👍👍👍
Keep up the work
Very cool! Had no idea this was even a thing. Its funny how big those small tools look so big next the the toy truck
That was pretty drastic with amazing results. One of a kind.
lol soon as you said tickle trunk I knew you are Canadian ;)
Right? And old, too.
I wonder who else got the Mr. Dressup reference 😀
....And that is how you keep me entertained for precisely 17 minuets ! What a great little project. Thanks for sharing !
GREAT JOB. AWESOME. The paint is good. A new 2500 series.
Awesome job! This is my first view on your channel and I am addicted already. And I agree that a matching utility trailer would be pret-ty cool! 😁
Really like the final outcome of this one. Paint looks spot on and body work is great. Would like to see this done on an old pickup too.
GREG'S GUNA DO AU 52 CHEVY YES!🔧🛻🏁👍
Your the best at modifying the original body into a crew cab body. paint was great and maxed well to the factor color.
Hell yeah, turned out awesome! I've seen some really bad attempts at doing this but you absolutely nailed it dude!
Thanks a lot on that video . I’m trying to make kinda unicorn truck ! Single cab short box dually Cummins dodge! Your insight and tutorial on this really opened my eyes
I can’t post a pic here but starting with tomy Dodge Ram. And like you on tailgait I wanna keep details as to gourgeous to replicate. It’s a four door mega cab now I’ve been lookin into copper plate to be able to solder on to it. Like you I gotta shorten wheelbase . instead of lengthen .. and add dually fenders. Kinda crazy but dodge don’t make em and that’s what I want
So cool. Great project. Very enjoyable thank you
That turned out looking great. You did an amazing job!!!
This is cool I’ve been doing things like this since I was very little it’s nice to see others do it too
I totally smelled JB weld when you started grinding it 😆
Great work, you made something extremely difficult look easy, and the final product looks factory too.
Bad ass!! Maybe make a dually next!
You should use the leftover bed and base and make another trailer out of it. Turned out awesome!
That's awesome dude. It looks like it came out of the package that way
Probably my favorite vehicle you've built so far. 👍
Dude.. that was a lot of work on a 1/64th size truck.. excellent work!!
Ingenious !! Great to watch.
