Ricky Spanish - How did the Shield revolutionize mobile gaming? It was a valiant effort, but nothing we havent seen before.
If it's down to "modern console level graphics on the go", that crown goes to the Vita back in 2011/12 (may it rest in peace).
If it's versatility, then that goes towards the 3/DS line. For it's dual screen and gyro [and 3D].
The Switch is the next step in both power and versatility on top of portability [though maybe a step back depending on how you feel about dual screens and 3D].

Except it somewhat feels like Nintendo is just not providing content for the actual switch itself. Like music, important software, updates, even accessories at this point. Also I wish they cared more about miis and brought back things that made the wii/wiiu and 3ds great. (Mij support in games, miiiverse, internet explorer, apps, themes, MUSIC.) might just be me tho
@@haydenschmidty8554 yeah I miss the themes with music from 3ds and the badges to replace the icons and when you go over a game it has music from the game and when you have a theme for example I have an Isabelle theme on my 3ds when you click an icon to open it, it has the ringing bells of Isabelle's bells it's just the small things that make such a difference I even miss the steps thing I shook my DS like crazy getting play coins and the miis were so much fun I went on the Mii plaza alot and miiverse I wish stuff like that would come back I agree with your comment

Nintendo, if you are reading this, please make a Metroid game like Super Metroid! It's still played today and is known as _the_ speedrunning game! The developers of that game added so many cool speedrunning features on purpose like the damage boost, mochball, single-wall jumping, bomb jumping, early shinespark, etc. Why did you guys remove those awesome features in Fusion and Zero Mission?! Bring the old school Super Metroid gamestyle back! #MakeMetroidSuperAgain

Zero Mission actually has all of those things you're talking about besides the mochball, because ZM doesn't have a run button. While Fusion is a more story-driven game, so the removal of speedrun tricks, while disappointing, is understandable.
I'd be less concerned over what these 15 year old GBA games did and more about the direction Metroid has gone in since then; with Other M and Federation Force.
Cedars we need more Metroid Prime.

Loving my Switch Lite. And I gotta say, the marketing team at Nintendo deserves a raise. If you look at it technically, tv out a way phone with SD 850, and you get a "console" with more raw horsepower than the Switch. But that experience sucks. The elegance and the simplicity is simply wonderful, and the games, good god, the games. Most of the first party titles are worth a Switch by itself! I am a PC gamer, but I gotta admit, those guys at Nintendo sure know how to make quality games.

...You're damn right. Console specs only determine the power of games you can play, and that hasn't mattered since Gen V. Once Xbox and Playstation 2 were on the scene together, games were generally ported to all systems and were almost always the same game everywhere.

Ghost Rider No, the biggest problem the WiiU had was their awful marketing for the console and horrible first year selection. I mean, the WiiU's best games came out two to three years after its launch.
i really dont care about numbers on the switch, i see the console more like a powerfull handheld, i own a PSvita the console itself is a very cool harware piece with great graphics for what it is, but it never got the tv accesorie that the psp had, but the switch is a more powerfull handheld with that accesorie included i am all up for that i am very interested on it and i dont care if it is less than a teraflop, or weaker than the ps4 xbox ps4 pro or xbox scorpio because if i want power well.. there is daddys machine on the desk with a GTX 1080 OC with 9.5 teraflop that blows the scorpio and ps4 pro away. i want the switch because is versatile looks like a great handheld and is more confortable than a gaming laptop.
I'm glad Nintendo is learning from their bad Wii U marketing. This explaination is very clear on what the console is and isn't. There shouldn't be any confused parents after watching this.

The only thing that bugs me is the paid subscription for online play. I PC game, so the idea of starting a subscription service for something I do for free could be a deal-breaker unless all the single player games are enough to sell the console. If you didn't notice, it's in small text @ 1:45.

Nintendo is smart to introduce it as a console you can detach and take on the go, instead of a on the go device you can play on a TV. I mostly want it for the portability but I suspect I am in the minority.
Unlikely, I have almost zero interest in this as a home console. I might unpack the dock to see what it looks like to just put it back in the box and store it in my roof or at best plug it into my spare HDMI input on my PC monitor.

The Xbox One S isn't a mid-gen upgrade; it's a redesigned Xbox One. The Scorpio is Microsoft's mid-gen upgrade, like what PS4 Pro is to PS4. The Scorpio is a part of the Xbox One family, so the Scorpio is still 8th gen.
Whether the Switch is 8th gen or 9th gen is up for debate. I believe the Switch is 8th gen. Someone else may believe it's 9th gen. The point is that console generations have become a bit skewed.

Okay, i believe all consoles such as the Playstation 4, Xbox One, Wii u and it's predecessors including PC are fantastic pieces of hardware. However every gamer need's to know this. For those who prefer PC, prefer power and quality gameplay with no errors. However PC gaming can be very expensive(Sometimes). This is where console gaming falls into place. A console such as the PS4 and Xbox One can be very powerful pieces of hardware but, not as powerful as the PC. And need i remind you guy's the games we know and love and play today are all made on PC. These consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) are just smaller versions of PC. Cheaper and easier to use. If you want the same experience with games similar to PC then purchase a console. Now this is where Nintendo falls into place. Nintendo has been around since 1989. They are considered one of the greatest video game companies to ever exist. They are beloved by many and carried the gaming industry for years to come. And sure, they may not produce consoles ans powerful as the PS4 and Xbox One but, they always have a trick up they're sleeve. Nintendo is different and that is why they are special. The Wii U may not have been great but, if you look back on the Wii. It was very successful. They won the console war's. And they've won many times before that as well. Those who prefer Nintendo, prefer a whole new experience. Im very confident the Nintendo Switch will be a success. Not because of how powerful it is but, because of different it is. And just remember. Nintendo will always be king. Thank you for reading.

And second, a lot of PC gamers love Nintendo. The combination of both platforms is beast.

Peridot Peri I think this is more aforable than vita not to mention that you can use any memory card micro usb. Unlike the vita requires only Sony PlayStation and its more expensive don't get me wrong the vita is great I have one myself

Jokes on you, I already had a gold Mario, 8-bit Mario, Wolf Link, Inkling boy & girl Amiibos when I got it. Weeks later I got an Ocarina of Time amiibo, because i wanted the green tunic in Zelda. I got that, the fierce deity armor, (From bro's amiibo) dark tunic, AND tunic of the wild.

I love my switch so much. It’s my everything. I love playing it handheld mode and on the tv. The click sound is amazing. I remove my joy cons and then put them back in, just to hear the click

Esse console é realmente maravilhoso❤ já tenho ele faz 5 meses e não deixo de jogar nem um dia,os jogos legais que eu tenho e recomendo são:Zelda breath of the wild,Mario deluxe 8,splatoon 2,Mario odssey,Just dance 2019 e arms e oque eu mais gostei foi pelo fato de ele ser portátil e tbm dar pra jogar de dois jogadores sem precisar de controle extra,então foi isso espero ter ajudado❤😘👍

Well we can’t always expect everything to last forever it will eventually break but that depends on if your joy cons are in good condition and you are cleaning it every now and then
