      butterminecart You just have to double the thickness of the paper each time so it’s basically 0.1mm X 2^42

    • @louiesatterwhite3885
      @louiesatterwhite3885 Před 4 lety +56

      @@butterminecart its mathematical conjecture. If you fold a paper over itself, its thickness doubles. For the purpose of this video, we are imagining an infinitely long piece of paper so that it would theoretically be possible to infinitely fold it. We are also ignoring other factors that would prevent this. It would not be possible in real life, but still fun to think about.

    If this were to happen, which it wouldn’t, then the width of the paper would be that of a hydrogen atom (with a piece of A4 Paper). So yeah, with our current technology, this is impossible. Also, remember that the area of the paper doesn’t change. So if you wanted a big enough piece of paper, it would have to be able to reach the moon while on its side. It _is_ fun to think about, though.

      Its technically impossible without a drone or anything that can fly, and you cant climb it either due to it being paper, it would be crushed by the weight of the space suit with a human bring in it
