Don't have Ardor Blossom Star, but I do have all of her IDs. Base Ishmael is great for Ch. 3 like her other IDs, except Shi, but her reliance on single-coin skills can be somewhat problematic. A single tails flip is all it takes to screw her over. Too bad Paralysis won't be fixed until 3/16. Shi Section 6 Ishmael is solid, and nothing really worth noting. Shi IDs suffer from the fact they need to be low HP to shine, which is hard with Stagger mechanics. Like most base IDs, really good at generating her own E.G.O. LCCB Assistant Manager Ishmael is the bane of all kneecaps. Decent speed, good rolls, lots of Tremor synergy, and good debuffs. Paralysis, as mentioned before, is still bugged, but even in spite of that fact, Glockmael performs admirably as one of the best picks for Ch. 3. Attack Power Down on Quake Rounds means its great, assuming she can go first. Suppress will stagger, at the absolute bare minimum. Glockmael also has double Gloom (Quake Rounds), triple Gluttony (Shove), and a single Pride (Suppress), which not only makes her great for generating her own E.G.O., Land of Illusion, Legerdemain, and Branch of Knowledge, while still helping get Representation Emitter. R. Corp 4th Pack Reindeer Ishmael is actually slightly worse than LCCB. While her rolls are stronger and a bit more reliable, she lacks the heavy debuffs that her 00 version has. Mind Whip risk is also a thing. All she has is Mind Whip's amazing damage (when it actually hits the enemy), and Sinking, which loses relevance harder than Attack Down and Fragile does in the dungeon. Gloom and Envy mostly, making her better for Bodysack than her other IDs. Speaking of, Snagharpoon and Compulsion are great, and should be used whenever possible.
Few notes, since I screwed up a bit. Base Ish and LCCB Ish are the best at generating for Snagharpoon (and Land of Illusion). LCCB is better for Legerdemain however. Shi Ish works best with Ryoshu and Don, especially for generating for their respective E.G.O.s. In spite of having Wrath (Mind Whip), Reindeermael is TERRIBLE at generating that resource, so bad for any version of 4th Match Flame. LCCB Ish doesn't suffer as much from ammo loss as R Corp. Cliff, because Shove and the first coins of Quake Rounds and Suppress don't use ammo. This is VERY important for Tremor builds, because Suppress' first hit detonates Tremor.
Fun fact: Flashing strikes at less than 50% HP instead of using coin 1 and 2 additional time (like Kurokumo Wakashu Hong Lu's "Cloud Cutter") GIVE you additional coins in clashes, so it's like 4 coins skill, which is almost always clash win at high sanity
One interesting quirk about Snagharpoon (and apparently Ardor Blossom Star, though I can't test this because I don't have the EGO) that isn't listed in the game anywhere is that if you use it during a human battle it will always target the last die of the fastest enemy. This has a lot of implications for clashes as it's one of the very few ways you can change targeting in human battles.
Got pretty pissed when I discovered this because I needed ish ego to deal with a powerful attack that regular ish skills couldnt handle, but ego changed targeting and clashing that skill just got moved to my next sinner who got instastaggered because their ego wasnt ready...
