For context on Shi Section 5 Ishmael, even at full hp her base clash power and damage on average exceed W Corp Faust For comparison, EVERY one of her skills exceed the clash power on the corresponding base Ryoshu skill (who was demoted to A tier) Skill 1 being especially above par for one at 3 flip two 4s. Debatebly Ish's base skills are lower A ignoring the low hp perks (although poise instead of conditions as the rider hurts) Unfortunately needing half hp for peak performance hurts. But when at half hp she legit compares favorably with [Kurokumo Wakashu] Hong Lu.

@@DoctorDiggs Well that and the stagger changes helps her a lot. iirc Shi only have 1-2 stagger thresholds at high hp so getting it below 50% isn't an issue really. Just keep cycling in counter for her to get free hits on her, stagger and then once she gets out of it, she has no stagger threshold with a scary skill2 in arsenal. Actually decently consistent.
The thing about Shi ishmael is that (i think?) Ardor Blossom star damages you, and if you go below your Stagger Treshold with it you will not be staggered that said, this is just something i heard ive never actually paid attention to if it does but if its true, i think its a good enabler for shi ishmael is it still inconsitent? probably, but its a way to do it
Any type of self damage for any character doesn't trigger stagger and moves below the threshold, yeah. This also goes for stuff like bleed (only for that attack I believe?) or flashing strike on Heathcliff.
i think the tier list changes are fairly justified espescially putting r corp heathcliffe in SS tier since he really is just that good in mirror dungeons and a good amount of the luxcavation maps. He can also fit onto a bleed stack team which is always a bonus ideal team would probably be something like kurokumo ryoshu kurokumo rodion one of the two SS tier hong lus N corp meursault (rodion can work but that would mean not using kurokumo also you could replace this slot with heahtcliffe or faust when they come out depending on how good they are) and then the last slot is usually free and heathcliffe fits great here overall bleed definitely still seems great and the new N corp identities will only further help it
I was looking on the forums today and people were saying Nails might be broken a bit right now. So its possible we could even see bleed be more powerful as Nails gets fixed/adjusted.
I enjoy running Envy teams and Shi Ish is always a safe bet. Envy colored counter is good if you don't have EGO to save you. My usual goal is to stack envy fast for Faust's Hex Nail (even stronger when overclocked is here). In addition, W-corp faust and LCCB Rodion have Envy scaling passives.
I'm in your same spot with Mariachi Sinclair... Fully invested in him, then dropped him for base Sinclair. One thing I disagree with the community, is all the hate for base Don. I mean I don't think he/she's top tier or anything, but they did well for me so far, and are a not-so-common source of pierce damage. The resources are good, skills give haste, maybe one day it will be possible to activate the effect of skill three who knows, and the passives have a reasonable price and are somewhat useful. Definitely wins more clashes than Jefe, sigh.
On what planet you agree with w corp faust rank B but not shi ishma? The Rank B is for her default state not the crazy 50% or below state. Look at her numbers and compare to Faust. She wins clashing wise in all departments but apparently you don't agree with the rating lmao.

Thing about Shi: For game modes that keep your HP values (such as MD), getting your HP down is much less of an issue.
